I'm only buy 24months or 2T now for LO. And even some 3T.
She's one week away from being 16 months!

She just turned 13 months and I'm about to buy her fall clothes in 24 months! She's not quite there but she's not far off at all so I want to make sure they fit for a while!

5 1/2 months and buying 6-9 winter items but right now she is still comfortably in 3-6. But I have a feeling she is going to out grow the length in a couple months.

@littlek: she's currently in 18 months stuff. I like her clothes to fit a little loose though so it lasts longer. Jeggings, leggings and jeans she should def be in 24 months soon though. Mainly bc of her Buddha tummy!

We're buying mostly 24m but some 2T also. She's 16.5 months wearing a combo of 18m and 24m.

I am buying mostly 4T in tops and 2-3T in bottoms, depending on the waist. My son's 32 months, he's tall and super skinny, especially at the waist.
I don't buy ahead any more, I've given away too many unworn things to play that game!

@locavore_mama: B man is all torso and stubby legs. He's got a belly on him though.

LO turns 12 months this weekend and he fits pretty comfortably in size 12m. We're only buying 18 months for fall/winter clothes for the time being. He's ~22lbs and 30 inches.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@littlek: hehehe I hate when the waist is tight on their tummy!
@looch: I've been pretty good about not over buying! Each season I was go man I should have bought more of this. But then it's too late in the season for me to bother spending more $....
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@locavore_mama: overbuying is always the problem, isn't it!
I think there is a magic number in terms of outfits, where you have enough for daily wear and still not have to do laundry for 2 weeks! If I could only figure it out!

M is almost 11 months and I'm still buying 9 month onsies. 12-18 month pants though (same issue with the waistbands on her big belly).

12m, 18m, and 12-18m..she'll be 1 in a month! She fits perfectly in 12m, but the 18m fits too..just a little big. Where'd my baby go?!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
12 mth, 12-18 month, 18m. he's 9 months today and his 9-12 and 9 month fit him perfectly right now.

12 month and 12-18. We struggle because she's so tall and skinny!
squash / 13199 posts
@locavore_mama: LO is 16 months too but she still fits into 12 months onesies, and even fits into some of her 9 months pants although they are now like leggings or capris. When it comes time to buy winter clothing I will get 18 months

@LuLu Mom: Have you tried gap? I feel it runs long. That and mini boden runs long.

C is 22 months and depending on the brand, fits in 24m or still fits in 12-18m.
She's 35in and 23lbs. Tall and skinny!!
pomegranate / 3398 posts
She's 18 weeks and 17lbs so we are creepy into 6 to 9 months already She is growing too fast!
nectarine / 2274 posts
12 to 18 months, LO is 13 months. He can actually still wear his 6 to 12 months clothing still so I'm just building my stock of the next size up.
pomegranate / 3858 posts
LO is 8.5 months, and I'm buying 12-18 winter stuff and 18-24 summery stuff - but mostly layer able stuff to extend wearing seasons cause who knows what size she'll be!
squash / 13764 posts
Lo is 10 months, I"m buying 12-18 month fall and winter stuff...I started buying pants from toddler boy at baby gap because they have the adjustable waist, but it makes me sad to be buying toddler things!
honeydew / 7687 posts
almost 9 months, pants buying 12-18 tops buying 18-24/2T stuff. Giant head & shoulders here
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
Dd is in 2-3T. I'll usually buy 3T so she can get more wear out of stuff.
DS just outgrew babygap 6-12. So we're moving up to 12-18
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@littlek: Yes, I went to Gap for jeans last week and their waist was still huge on her for the 12-18, but the 9-12 pants were going to be too short. I went to Old Navy and it was better.
honeydew / 7488 posts
I'm buying size 5/6 for DD and 2T and 3T for DS. Except for H&M where I'm buying him like... 12-18 month haha.
pomegranate / 3872 posts
LO is 6 months but wearing some 9 month. I'm only buying 12 mos and up unless I see something I want her to wear right now. She has so much warm weather stuff that I'm more focused on Fall and Winter wear.
She is long and lean but has a booty so she can easily wear 12 month pants now, which is crazy. It's nice that hopefully they'll last a bit though!
pear / 1895 posts
He's 6 months, and wears 12 month stuff now. I'm buying 12-18 month (and some 18-24) for fall/winter.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
5 months. Wears 9 months, and I'm buying 12 months for fall/winter.
apricot / 346 posts
DD1 will be 4 in 5 weeks, I buy her 4T tops and still 3T jeans (4T leggings/sweatpants)
DD2 is 3 months and she wears 3M and 3-6M and I have been buying most recently 6M and 6-9M.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
She is almost 12 months and I'm buying her 18 months for fall. They are a bit big still but 12 months is going to be too small.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@LuLu Mom: I've got a tall skinny baby too and I find Carter's onesies fit her the best!
M is 4 months old (today!!) and in 3-6 months, although she'll probably outgrow that in length in another month, so I'm buying 6-9 month stuff now.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
16 mos. and 2T fits her perfectly right now. Her 24 mos stuff is too short.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
@sslm: yes! When LO was in onesies, Carter's was all we bought because she swam width-wise in any other brand. Tall, skinny LOs are hard to dress! A lot of toddler clothes are still a bit big on her width-wise, while length-wise are too short, or just right.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
18-24 in baby Gap for the fall/winter, 18 months in Carter's for PJs/sleepers. She just turned 18 months yesterday.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
At 14 months she is already in 24 months and 2T. I have already purchased some 3T clothes. She is 98% for height!
