I'm buying all 5Ts for the almost 4 yo and all 2Ts for the 19 month old. Shoes are 9.5-10 for DD1 and 6 for the 19m.

@regberadaisy: We are very similar! Apparently my kids have GIANT feet though.
DD - Age 4.5 - Buying 5T or XS 5/6 shoe size 12-12.5!
DS - Age 19 months - Buying 2T (maybe some 3T tops) and shoe size 7-8

Depends on the brand. My 2.5 year old can wear anything from 3t to 5t. I just have to look/keep track of what runs small. I think she is set on shoes but she's an 8/8.5.
I don't think I'm buying DD2 (11 months) much. But i haven't actually taken inventory of all our hand me downs yet so I'm not 100% sure what my game plan for her is.

2T for DS. I'm waiting on shoes because he just had a foot growth spurt and grew out of a ton of shoes and I'm afraid it will happen again.
18-24 and 2T for DD. I'm hoping she fits into 2T for the summer! She has a ton of 2T stuff I bought at the end of season sales last year. She should be set for shoes for a while, except a pair of sandals. She's in size 5.

DD1 - will be 4: 4T or 4 (better fit when available) tops and dresses; 2T skirts/shorts; 9 shoes
DD2 - will be 2: mostly getting hand me downs ranging from 18 months to 2T; anything new IV bought is a 2T; size 6 shoes.
I expect the girls to share shorts/skirts this summer, which is actually really convenient!

Ugh, i don't know. She's 23 months and just sized into 2T now, so I guess 3T? But she's a shorty, so I'm not sure what to do. Same deal with shoes: she just sized into a 6, but her feet are tiny. So mostly, I'm not buying anything and waiting until it's closet to decide!
honeydew / 7504 posts
D will be 3.5, I'm getting 3T. A will be 6m at the end of the summer, so I'm getting her 6m. She's long, so she sizes out quickly.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
I've been obsessed with this. I ask everyone what size they think he will be in. I've decided on 2T, but I'm thinking I will probably have to buy some 3T late summer.
Size 7 shoes.
19 months.
@lovelyplum: He just sized into his 2T so I was thinking I would probably have like 4 to 6 months in 2T so it would get me through summer? What are her stats?
coconut / 8483 posts
@LovelyPlum: last year my son wore 2T (he turned 18 months at the end of the summer) and this year (he just turned 2) it all still fits!
Everything in buying I'm getting 3T to hopefully last a while, but 2t is still good! Shoes he will be a 7 but I got a bunch of 8s on sale last summer when I was guessing what size he would be. Guessed wrong! Lol
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
LO1 (2.5) is getting mostly 3T for summer and size 7 shoes.
LO2 (almost 8 months) will be wearing 12 month stuff.

I was just talking to DH about this this morning. We've got to go shopping for summer clothes this week. DD is outgrowing 3-6 so I'll be buying 6-9, 6-12, or 9 months depending on the brand. No shoes yet! We didn't receive many gifts or hand me downs in the next size up so I'm trying to figure out just how much she needs.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
DS1 - almost 4. Getting 4T tops and 3T bottoms (he's skinny). Shoes 8.5/9.
DS2 - 15m. He has all of his brother's hand me downs. He'll probably be 12-18 for a bit and then 18-24 for a bit. Size 4 shoes for summer, though he still is in size 3 : )
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@LovelyPlum: if she just moved into 2t, I would think she would be in it all summer.

DD1 (3yrs) 4T and size 9 shoes
DD2 (15 months) 18mos and size 4 shoes
DD3 (11 weeks) 9-12 mos and no shoes
I'm only getting a few things for DD2 and nothing at all for DD3. Too many handmedowns from DD1.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
ds1: 4T and size 11 shoes (3yo)
ds2: 12 and 12-18 months, probably size 3 or 4 shoes when the time comes (8.5 months)
pomelo / 5791 posts
DS1 (just turned 3) - mostly 4s. Size 10.5 feet (huge!)
DS2 (8m old) - I bought some 12m, but it looks like I'm going to have to get more 18m stuff. Hopefully one day he can use his brothers hand-me-downs (born opposite seasons)!!
pear / 1586 posts
DS - 19mo - 2T shirts/rompers, and 18-24m shorts just because I like the look of shorter vs. longer shorts. (Why are all shorts for toddler boys practically capris?) Starting out with size 6 shoes.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
DD1: 3 1/2 she's wearing 4t shorts and XS tops. Size 8-9 shoes
DD2: 12 months old she's wearing 12 months clothes, bought some 18 but they look huge!
nectarine / 2771 posts
DD1 (3yo) - 4t, 8/9 shoes.
DD2 (15 weeks) - She is throwing me for a loop! She was born in the same season as dd1 and I was excited for all the hand me downs, but she is far longer than dd1 and outgrowing everything already, so I have little seasonally appropriate clothes for her! I think I have to get her 9-12 months...

@LBee: @LovelyPlum: DS is a big kid and he's spent about a year in 2T so far. He started in 2T last spring/summer and just now his pants and shirts are getting too short for him.
DS is almost 2.5 and he'll be in 3T shirts and 2T shorts. The shorts I got him are all stretchy waist so they should be good all summer. And as a previous poster pointed out, boys shorts are soooo long, so even though he's out of 2T pants I think we'll be good with the shorts.
Shoes are 9. I think he's really about an 8/8.5 right now but he's in size 9 nikes and doing fine in them and he's got room to grow. I already got him some closed toe sandals in 9 also.

I did all of my shopping already and purchased
6T, size 12 shoes for DD. (5 yo)
4-5T, size 10 shoes for DS. (3yo)
honeydew / 7488 posts
DD - Size 8 tops, size 7 bottoms. Size 13/1 shoes. Age 7
DS - Size 4 tops, size 3T bottoms. Size 10/10.5 shoes. Age 4

My almost 21mo old still can wear almost all of his 18mo clothes, but most of them are winter, so I don't know what to buy! I'm afraid I'm going to have to get 18mo and 24mo clothes for summer. I actually just tried on some of his 12mo shorts from last summer and they fit perfect in waist, just a little short now.
nectarine / 2180 posts
DD1: XS/5-6 girl's (I'm silently sobbing that she has grown out of toddler sizes!) Size 11 shoes
DD2: 18-24 month/maybe 2T? She just turned 18 months and is kind of a peanut, but she has tons of hand-me-downs from big sis so I probably don't need to buy much at all. Shoes? I don't even know...I think she's in size 5, but again, tons to choose from in storage
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
15 mo old DD is in 18 mo clothes but I'm mostly buying 2T (24mo occasionally). But now I'm afraid she'll still be in 18 mo this summer!

I'm holding off on buying much for my 7 month old daughter for the moment. She's been in 9 month onesies, sleepers and tops for about 3 weeks, and is already outgrowing them. Still wearing mostly 6 month pants. So hopefully buying 9-12 month stuff.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
Girls size 6/ S for the almost 4 year old, size 10 shoes.
3T, and a few 4T things that run smaller for the 2 year old, size 6 shoes. (She's got itty bitty feet for her long body!)
honeydew / 7917 posts
LO1 is turning 5 next month, and I'm starting to buy size 5 clothes and size 11 shoes (if he ever grows into them this summer... his feet haven't grown in a year). LO2 is 2 years old and wearing size 2T tops and 18m bottoms. His feet are still a size 6.
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
DS1 is almost 19 months and I've bought 2T stuff and just ordered him a size 6 pair of Crocs. (He's currently in 18-24 month clothes and wears a 5.5W shoe).
DS2 is due in May and he will just be living in hand me down zipper sleepers!

LO just turned 4 and we have moved up to XS in the boys section. I'm really sad he has grown out of the toddler section!

@ShootingStar: @oliviaoblivia: @Smurfette: @Mrs. Champagne: thanks for the info! It's so hard when their sizes change so often!
@LBee: I don't know, because we haven't been to the doctor since December. We go in mid-April, and then I think I'll decide what to get her. I've been getting 3T cardigans, because she wore her sweaters big for a long time, and I figure she can wear them into the fall. I have some play dresses in a mix of 2T, 2-3, and 3T. Shorts will be a 2T (I think?!), and shirts-well, I don't know. I just bought jammies that I thought would work for spring, but they shrunk in the wash and are now too small. What are your DS's stats?
Gah!!! Pressure!!

Ugh I'm so conflicted!
DS (2.9) needs a 4T, but I'm not sure they'll still fit by August. He wears a 10 npw, but who knows by the end of the summer...
DD (9 mo) is in a 12mo, so probably 18? And she's in a 4, and walking, so we'll need some real shoes in a 5 soon.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@twodoghouse: the shoes are the worst. I can't decide whether to buy 2 pairs in 2 sizes and risk them being off-season, or to just buy her current size and risk them not being available mid-summer.
I don't know how people buy ahead. Too hard for me!
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@LovelyPlum: you will find that as they start getting into T sizes they don't get wider but get longer. So she'll likely be fine in 2T especially in bottoms.
pear / 1837 posts
DD1 (3.5) - 4T, maybe 5T, size 9 or 10 shoe depending on brand
DD2 (4 months) - 6-12 month
