LO was 7lbs 6 oz when born and 6lbs 14 oz when discharged from hospital two days later. We didn't have any newborn sizes so she wore 0-3 and was absolutely swimming in her little outfit! I wish I'd bought a newborn size for each gender but I thought if I did that, I was bound to have a ten pound baby!

My baby was the same as @Ree723: - 7lb, 6oz at birth and 6lbs, 14oz at discharge. She wore NB size for an entire month. I look back at pictures now and think preemie would have fit better - even NB looked huge on her when we brought her home.

He was 6lbs9oz on discharge, wore a 0-3 & was swimming in it. He definitely wore some newborn stuff once he got home.

6 pounds at birth (a little smaller at discharge), and wore newborn, which was HUGE! She was also only 17 inches, which is apparently about the 2nd percentile, so...three weeks later, newborn clothes are still way too long on her little arms and legs!

Newborn....And it was still big as she was only 6lbs3oz leaving the hospital.,..Boy has she caught up on the growth chart now!

Lo was 6pounds 9ounces, she wore NB which was massive on her - she would've fit prem clothes if we had them. She's almost 6 months and is only just outgrowing her 0-3 month clothing, we definitely got our money's worth.

7lbs8oz and NB. He could have fit premie that first week because he lost a lot of weight (6lbs 6oz at discharge). Wore NB for 4-6 weeks depending on the type of outfit.

DD was 7lb15oz and wore 0-3 and it was HUGE on her.
With the twins we bought a few premie outfits and thats what they wore home. They were 6 lb 8 oz and 7lb1oz so the premies didn't last long.

LO was 5lbs 8oz at birth, but 5lbs 1oz at discharge. She wore NB home, but could have fit two of her! She just outgrew NB last week.

Thank you for this! I'm just starting to look for coming home outfits and had no idea which size to buy. It's nice to hear what weight ranges fit into the sizes

7lbs and a few ounces at discharge. He wore an outfit that I suspect was actually a preemie outfit. (It was a gift.) It fit perfectly.

8lbs 3oz -- we brought a NB outfit that was too small!! It was a "take me home" Carter's and it was definitely smaller than normal NB sizes.... Luckily we had another 0-3 onesie that fit!
