The most common strollers around here are the Graco travel system strollers and BOBs. I rarely see the fancy ones everyone on HB raves about, like the UBV.
EtA: I also see lots of City Minis.

Graco or cheapie umbrellas. We're not a fancy expensive area.

I mostly see UBVs, Bugaboos and City Minis. I see a Bob or Maclaren here and there and a lot of baby wearing.

I would say Graco and BOBs and cheap umbrella strollers.

BOB, Uppababy, Graco, Chicco, Snap and Go and City Minis.
I've never seen a Bugaboo!

UBVs, Bugs and City Minis mostly though these days there seem to be more UBVs than anything else.
I do't think it tends to be fanciness so much as most New Yorkers do not have cars and the stroller fills a lot of those needs so they invest in them.

Graco's and maybe some First Years. I think those may be the only one's you can buy in person without driving 80 miles. I bought my UBV online and we get crazy comments on it around here. Once you get into the Orlando area, though, you see them everywhere. And it seems like every 3rd stroller at Disney is an UBV.

@autumnlove: @Rainbow Sprinkles: I used to see one on an almost daily basis. But it's the only one I've ever seen.

Like 80% BOBs in my neighborhood and the next one over. Downtown, it varies a lot -- definitely more umbrella strollers and I have no idea what brands those are.

At the mall, I swear everyone has a Britax B-Agile system. When I was attending Gymboree, most of the strollers I'd see parked there were the B-Agile with the B-Safe car seat.
The other ones I see are the Britax B-Ready, Bugaboo Bee, UBV and some that I don't really recognize like the Graco or umbrella strollers.
When we were travelling in Europe, I saw 0 Britaxes... everyone seemed to have the Stokke Xplory or Quinny strollers which I've never seen at our local mall.

Gracos, Baby Trend and Bumblerides....literally all of my friends have a bumbleride indie! We are bucking the trend and getting an UBV.

Graco (the big travel system ones), Maxi Cosi, iCandy, MacLaren and Mamas & Papas.

Graco, Chicco, Snap and Go. A BOB here and there, but those mostly belong to runners.

UBV - but it's possible I just notice them because I have one. I also see city mini a lot. That and travel systems but I do t recognize the brands.

When we were in SF it was UBV and Bugs. In the East Bay it's now City Minis and Bobs.

UBV and city minis...and umbrella strollers. but by far the majority are UBVs.

I notice a lot of UBV's and Britax. But then I don't really pay attention to the run of the mill travel systems.

Graco snap and go, BOB... a lot of travel system type strollers- and usually the cheaper ones.
@Rainbow Sprinkles: same. I hardly ever see the strollers that seem to be popular on the internet!

my old neighborhood had city minis, bobs, bugaboos, uppa baby (vista, cruz, gluxe) now my new neighborhood not brand named umbrella strollers

Lots of BOBs. It seems to be the unofficial Colorado outdoorsy, active mom stroller.

i see travel systems and the occasional BOB.
I have a city mini - LOVE!

@LovelyPlum: ah. Around there of course there will be.

Graco or Chicco travel systems. Rarely do I see a fancy stroller around here

All the fancy ones, basically. And I don't live in a big walking area like NYC. It's truly puzzling because I see people who don't have anything else fancy with them all the time. I guess it's about priorities...
We have a bob, a Maclaren, and a safety first travel stroller that can be used as a travel system. Dd likes to eat puffs out of the safety first stroller tray but whenever I use it dh teases me because nobody really uses those around here.. And he loves the bob.

@LovelyPlum: what's funny is people around here think people around me have more money. ha! Or maybe people around you are just bigger spenders?
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@locavore_mama: Same, it's an even split between cheap (nasty) umbrellas, or Graco travel systems- the bigger, plastic-er and cheaper the better.
Every now and then you see a "fancy" one, fancy being Britax B-Agile, Citi Mini and today I saw a Britax B-Ready, it was funny because everyone was asking her all about it because no one had ever seen one before
pineapple / 12793 posts
Six UBVs to half a dozen Bugaboos. Occasionally a Stokke or Orbit.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@locavore_mama: I don't know. It may just be that they are used more? I know our stroller is going to be our one big splurge, and we don't have a lot. But we use the car about once or twice a week, so...
