For me anything above 40 isn't cold. We still go out pretty much no matter how cold it is, but 40 is the sweet spot where we can play at the playground and it's still comfortable and you don't need gloves. (I grew up in LA but have been in NY the past 10 years)

Anything below -22 Celcius is cold. -21 to -15 is chilly and anything above -15 is mild.

-10 is chilly and anything further below is cold. I haaaaate the cold. Don't know why I live where I do when it can get down to -40.

40 and below is cold. 30 and below is very cold. 20 and below, I'm not going out unless I'm playing in the snow!

When I lived in Michigan I thought anything under 20 was cold. Now that I live in Arizona my idea has definitely changed!

I'd usually say anything in the 50s is cold, meaning I'd prefer to have a thicker jacket or coat on. But, this changes depending on the season. During winter here, 30 is pretty balmy.

But when it's November, I think 50 is freezing. Then when it's 50 in March I've got all the windows open!

I used to think anything in the 20's was cold, but now it's downright balmy! Your blood gets thick fast up here, so now anything below zero requires me to pay extra attention to what I wear outside.

Depends on the time of year. In the fall, below 0 C is cold. But in the winter or close to spring 0C is warm! In the winter, I'd say lower than -18C is cold.

I used to think it wasn't truly cold until the temperature dropped into the teens Fahrenheit (born and raised in Chicago), but now, after living in Australia for a number of years, anything colder than 70 Fahrenheit feels cold. Total wuss here, but I love the cold weather and can't wait to move back north again!

This winter below 10 with windchill feels cold. My body has adjusted this year, and 40 feels warm to me. Haha. Normally 20-30 would be considered cold.

@pui: ditto! Anything below -22C and I don't really want to go outside. I teach at an elementary school and they play outside as long as it's not below -20C. Anything above -15 is a nice day!

It depends on the season! In the summer, anything below 60 is cold! In the winter, anything below 40 is cold!
