What things do you NEED but haven't bought yet (due to budget, etc.)

We need a new stove/oven since one of the eyes died. So far, I've been able to cook with three, but I'd love the convenience of four. Mr. Lime isn't convinced it's that big of a deal though, and he doesn't cook. For spaghetti for instance, I boil the pasta on the only working big eye and then make the sauce after the pasta is cooked. Before, I'd have the sauce going the entire time on the other big eye.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: As a non-cooker myself I would totally be like your husband! But that does sound annoying!

This morning I dropped the rice cooker on the floor and it broke. I need a new one..and that's gonna be $$$. Mil bought that one because she didn't like the rice our last one made and I refused to buy a new one. She's gonna be thrilled to find out I broke it a month later. And this is sorta bratty but my first thought after oh shit, was "our old rice cooker could have survived that."

To replace our garage door (wood is rotting)

To repair our driveway (should have done it two years ago but it's going to cost way too much)

New work shoes! ive put them through hell and they're starting to fall apart.

    New bra. Ugh.
On the same page... New underwear and socks- my dog gets mad at me and chews them up!! Rude.

New glasses!! Mine are out of date prescription wise, and are broken. I've been rocking them with tape for MONTHS.

@2littlepumpkins: My mom got me a luxurious rice cooker when we got married for the same reason too and if I broke it she would be PISSSSED.

A washer and dryer. We're hoping to buy a set used. Going to the laundry mat sucks big time.

    A BED:
We desperately need a new bed. We're currently (still) sleeping on the full mattress my parents bought for me when I was in middle school. It hasn't been a priority until now, but the bed is big time starting to hurt our backs.

    A CROWN (or 2 ):
I had a root canal done a few months ago, but the crown has turned out to be more expensive than I bargained for. My current dentist doesn't offer payment plans, so I haven't done it yet. But I need to, because I don't want this tooth to get infected. Yeah...

I was also going to add that we could really use a couch, as we don't have one, but we're getting two second hand ones from my parents and a friend. I'm excited!

@Oxana: have you tried a scratch and dent place, like Sears Outlet? They sell things on major discount because their appearance has been damaged somewhat. You can get some really good deals!! I hear you. The laundromat is the very worst. I hate it!

@tofuwad: both of those things sound nice! We're a one car family in a one bedroom, but we just found a two bedroom place we can afford last week, still in our building, and we move tomorrow! I'm so glad. I hope you can get one soon!

@jill_a55: ew, yeah, a new bra. Ugh, I forgot about that. My only good one is starting to get super saggy, since I basically have worn it every day for a year and a half.

@LovelyPlum: finding a good mattress is hard! And expensive.

There's lots and lots we'd like for our new home, but nothing that is truly a need.

I need pants that fit and supportive shoes. I hate shopping for clothes.

@LovelyPlum: so I read a new crown and thought to wear on your head 😂 Well duuuuh. I don't even have a "good" bra. I got one at VS and I think they measured wrong and I hate it. I'm still wearing my crappy nursing bras 😳
And also, you found a new place last week and you move tomorrow?! Just the thought is exhausting.

@LovelyPlum: good luck with your move tomorrow.

We postponed our bathroom reno because of #3. Sounds first world, but there are literally holes in the walls.

Curtains for our bedroom. You would think it world be one of the first things I would take care of, but nope, we moved into our house 4 months ago and still no curtains in our room!

We also need dining room chairs. Especially now that LO refuses his high chair, we don't have enough chairs for the 3 of us even. I've been sitting on an office chair for family meals.

I need new work pants because I'm pretty sure I'm not going to lose my post partum weight in my thighs. I'm in denial and just wearing the same three pairs over and over again.

Roof. We have the money, but, we keep putting it off because it is so close to all the money. If we get more leaks again over the winter it'll end up costing us even more though. Ugh.

Computer or laptop, our last working machine broke last week. We get by with just our phones. We can't decide what we want to buy and it's expensive, so it could be awhile.

New windows. Our house is 60 years old with original windows. It's drafty and cold in the winter. Wish windows didn't cost so much.
