I actually am not sure what time it starts around here!
I'm leaning towards taking her out at 5:30pm since we get home at 5pm and dinner is 6pm.

Different times for different places, I'm pretty sure. Check the paper this week or next-they should be announcing it soon!

I think it starts pretty early here, because it's supposed to be done at dark. I think usually around 5...?

Ours is from 6-8
Do kids ring your bell? In our neighborhood, everyone sits at the edge of their driveway to pass out candy. We bring the firepit down. Some neighbors pass out drinks for the adults, too!

@BabyMats: trick or treating!
@Mrs. Jump Rope: yup, they ring the bells. hm. Actually I wonder if that's why we didn't get many last year?? LOL

We sit out starting around 5 or so. We usually have some chairs in our garage and get out our fire pit like @Mrs. Jump Rope.
The rule around here is lights on = candy lights out means walk by. DH and I usually wrap up around 8ish and give one kiddo whatever we have left in our candy bowl.

Younger kids usually ToT starting around 4:30. Thankfully it's a school night so kids won't be out too late!

@locavore_mama: haha! The first year we lived here we turned our porch light on & sat inside. A half hour went by before we realized what was going on!
We get over 400 kids a year. Our housing plan is huge. I honestly prefer sitting outside. I would hate having my doorbell ring so many times!
