we haven't had the party yet (just extended family invited), but LO is up between 11:30 and 3pm these days, so we are inviting everyone over around then for lunch, cake, and hanging out
we live in a tiny place, so it'll be nice and crowded, just the way a party should be :).

We are doing it at 3 because:

- my son naps 9-10:30 and 2-3 (give or take)

- he goes to bed at 7:30

- we are having it at my sister's. her kids nap 12-2 ish. also, we have toddler friends who nap 1-3ish.

@mediagirl: bc a lot of our babies are the same age!

1pm. Bc she typically afternoon naps around 2 so I thought she can mingle beforehand and take a nap while everyone is eating. In retrospect she did not nap at all so it didn't matter!

6pm because of our family member's work schedules.

We're having ours at 3. After everyone naps, and to wear them out for bedtime.

11 - we're doing a Sunday brunch party, but I wanted him to have finished his first nap (he goes down at 9). I hope it works!

4 pm. We scheduled it so that he'd have been awake from his 2nd nap for at least 30 min and so that it would be over by bedtime. It worked out perfectly.

We scheduled for 11, and it worked out perfectly. He woke up from his nap as guests started to arrive. He did get over tired towards the end and took his second nap while a few guests were still around.

@mediagirl: Maybe you could do lighter fare instead? We're also doing 3, but we'll have snack type foods mostly. Veggies, fruit, dips, finger sandwiches, and cake.

We're thinking 4:00 pm because it'll give us time for prep without stressing and the weather's usually *fingers crossed* so nice during the evening that time of the year (sun doesn't go down until late at night).
