Another side? Roasted vegetables? Healthy green bean casserole? Glazed carrots? There are so many veggie sides that are so tasty. I don't think you can have too many...

@Mrs. Pen: it's tasty. Lots of different variations online, but I do cranberries + oranges + jalapeƱo + a bit of sugar (and Grand Marnier if you are feeling festive). Freeze the fruit ahead of time so it won't get too mushy in the food processor.

I'm making corn pudding (from the NY times...just googled it) and a squash zucchini mash (pretty much just tons of chopped squash simmered in water and butter, haha)

I agree that green bean casserole is missing from your table! I don't really eat it, but everyone else seems to love it. Or a corn dish--very pilgrimey. Ya know, like corn casserole, creamed corn, etc.

I would bring an app for people to munch on before the main event. Bruschetta, or asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and puff pastry, something like that.

I always send my mom a nice floral centerpiece the day before Thanksgiving since I don't bring any food. She's got it covered! But, she loves the flowers.
