I'm planning on taking the day off of work for Xander's actual birthday. Hubs will be working, so it'll just be me and Xander for the day! Any suggestions on fun things to do with him??
If you spent the day with your LO for their first birthday, what did you do?

We had a family photo shoot, lunch out and then went to the aquarium. She wasn't a fan of the photo shoot but loved the rest, especially the aquarium.

We went to the zoo and then went out for frozen yogurt later that evening.

I just took the day off too! I wish the weather was nicer in Feb! I was thinking breakfast and/or lunch and maybe the aquarium or children's museum. It may depend on if DH takes the day off too - it would be a lot harder to deal with going downtown if it's just me.

I made a special breakfast & then we went to the doctor (she had a horrible diaper rash) & followed it up with a trip to the pumpkin patch! Not really ehlpful for a non-fall birthdya though.
Zoo, museums, aquarium, indoor playground...all great ideas.

We took her out to eat and went to an indoor playground that had an area for toddlers. She loved it!

hmm we didn't do anything special. i scheduled her 12 month wellness check on her actual birthday so she got shots. bad mom. 
but she had a FABULOUS party the next day!

I would suggest a children's museum of something similar! We also took J on his actual birthday to get a balloon and he thought it was the most spectacular thing - ha!
