How do/would you handle it whe one parent (who usually doesn't do many of the consequences), is alone with the LO's and implements a consequence (without you there) that 1) you believe to inappropriate for your LO's age 2) rolls over to the next day, therefore, making you the one to execute it?

If at all possible I let it stick the one time so DD doesn't see me going against DH. Then DH and I have a talk about what to do the next time the situation comes up. DD is not quite 2 so this hasn't been a huge issue yet, but I know it will become a problem in the future.

Same as Catgirl. Follow through with this first one and from then on, keep an agreement to follow through on a one day consequence. If not sure, discuss and then decide together. If at all possible, brainstorm a go-to list of 'approved' age appropriate consequences so that you can be a little more consistent and quickly connect the behavior to the consequence without having to wait until discussion.
