What kind of things, toys, activities do you do (or did you do) with your 6 month old? Just looking for some new ideas. He's already started crawling/scooting. (In any case, he's definitely mobile).

Honestly I give E a ton of independent floor time. I'll set out several toys several feet away from him so he can practice scooting/rolling/crawling/doing the worm. I play with his toys (right now I have out several large fabric blocks that make crinkly sounds, one of those towers with the stackable colored rings, Sophie, his toothbrush, a Take Along Tunes and another musical toy. The extent of his interest in toys or me reading to him is how quickly he can get whatever it is in his mouth.
If the weather is nice enough we'll go for a walk. If we're inside I sing and dance for him and generally spent an incredible amount of time trying to get him to laugh. When I need to get things done around the house I'll bring him with me and narrate...folding his diapers on the floor, putting him in his doorway jumper or put him on our bed when I'm putting away our laundry, putting him in his high chair or walker next to me when I'm doing the dishes or cooking dinner.
And when I really just need a break for a bit I'll throw on TMBG's Here Comes Science DVD or put on something like Yo Gabba Gabba or Pingu on Netflix.

Pat a cake! Peek-a-boo with the baby. Peek-a-boo with a toy under the blanket. Give him a blanket and he will play peek a boo with himself.

I do stations a lot of times and it makes things go fast. 15 minutes or as long as he can handle in the exercaucer, 15 minutes of tummy time or playing in the playgym...i'll set out various toys at different intervals and extend the time, 15 minutes in the bumbo, 15 mins in the bouncer seat...by then its usually time for a nap or feeding! it helps a lot now that he is soooo much more independent!

He's at the perfect age to introduce a learning table! I got this one 2nd hand for less than $20:

Stacking blocks or cups and balls are great too. He alsomreally loved large wooden activity cubes (http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/toys/Maxville-Wooden-Activity-Cube/731346000460-item.html). My LO was 6 months old in the summer/fall and we spent a lot of time throwing a ball or frisbee for our dog!
