Did you see it? How did you like it?
Over the weekend my baby fever reached a fever pitch and DH banished me from talking about babies. So as a reward I guess for not talking babies for two days we watched "What to Expect."
There were scenarios for most everyone, but the film still seemed a bit too light hearted. Is there more to pregnancy? I enjoyed the dad group especially when they all admitted their children were the best things that ever happened to them.

I thought it was pretty bad, but didn't really expect it to be good in the first place.

Not a favorite by any stretch but I was rolling the first time I watched it - especially toward the end. I think it was meant to blow things out of proportion to put emphasis on the different ways that families can come together. And everyone had a mostly happy ending which was what I was wanting at the time of watching.

We thought it was entertaining. We watched it after LO was born and greatly enjoyed how sensationalized, yet fairly accurate, it was.

I liked it alot more than I thought I would! I did like the pregnancy scenarios b/c I think they hit pretty good on them (while being lighthearted), but I still hated how they portrayed birth. The dad's group was hilarious though so it redeemed it a bit for me.

I saw it the first time about 3 weeks postpartum, since my mother was trying to get me out of the house for a bit. I had serious baby blues still, and it actually depressed me more than I already was because everyone was so "My baby is my glow," and I was in a state of the complete opposite. I was still thinking having a baby was the worst mistake ever.
But it was playing on HBO not too long ago, and I watched it again, and I thought it was ok. Not a great movie, but Elizabeth Banks character was pretty much me in that last trimester, so my husband and I had a good laugh. I kept wondering if her giant ass bottle of Tums was real, because I wish I had had a bottle like that those last few weeks.

I didn't like it much at all - I laughed at parts, but mostly it seemed that everyone was a caricature of pregnancy, which I guess is what they were trying to portray. I also didn't like the "traditional" hospital birth scenario that you see on TV and in movies over and over again.

It was just okay, but good for entertainment. I really liked the scenes with the dad group. "no judgement!"

I thought it was okay and funny. The last 30 minutes or so was the best of the movie. I did like the daddy group also!

It was ok and had funny moments. I guess because I'm currently researching pregnancy and birth like a madwoman I felt like a lot of it was inaccurate. Although, I realize it was a light hearted movie that was supposed to be funny and entertaining. I don't really know what I was expecting to get from the movie but it disappointed a bit with the pregnancies/births in general.
The dads group was really hilarious though!

I thought it was funny and cute. Not the best movie ever but not bad. I wish the dad group had been in it more.

I thought it was cute! I brought my pregnant best friend to see it in the theatre.
I totally found my glow when DS was born, I felt like the ugliest pregnant lady ever.

It was okay. The birth scenes bugged me, but some parts of the movie were pretty good.

I thought it was a pretty awful film all things considered but there were parts I really enjoyed. I laughed a lot when the shop-owner character's phone announced that it was ovulation time!! That was so me at the time I was watching the film. I think I might like to see it again because I'd totally identify with the lack-of-glow complaint now, too! I might make DH watch it with me!

Bumping because I just watched this and now I'm sobbing my eyes out! Good grief. It wasn't even that good of a movie! I hate my hormones, y'all. I should not be allowed home alone with Netflix from now until birth. Too many potential sob-tastic movies. I mean, REALLY?! This was a romantic comedy, and I'm bawling.
Ughh. Where's my glow?!
