I'm wearing a cropped shirt today, but it doesn't show my stomach! It's just shorter in the front than it is in the back.
I dislike shorts that show butt cheeks, because, no. I'm also not a fan of overalls for adults. Especially when they're "on sale" for $200. But if you can pull it off, then I'm impressed!

Hmmmm....I wear several of these things (skinny jeans, chevron maxi skirts, nude heels, short shorts), i think the teenagers in the 90s clothes look adorbs and i just registered for a chevron blanket for LO. And DH has a full beard that he's had for years. Oooopppsss!!

@hotchildinthecity: people don't like skinny jeans and nude heels?
I am over people wearing black and white striped maxi skirts all day everyday. Enough.

@hotchildinthecity: I'm wearing skinny jeans with my cropped shirt today, too

Wearing your pjs to the grocery store - maybe its just where I live but come on people put on some clothes!!!
As for high waisted jeans - man, I cannot wait to buy a pair!!! Why does everyone hate them? I am looking forward to looking slimmer in them!

Crop tops. I hate shirt shopping right now...this body was never made for crop tops.
For men/boys: I do not understand the black mid-calf socks with sneakers(or sandals) and shorts(mainly basketball shorts). Why? I just don't understand it!
pineapple / 12566 posts
@Pumuckl: yep!
Luckily, I haven't seen all the crop tops that everyone else is talking about.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@hotchlidinthecity, yes, but you look GOOD in short shorts. I'm also a short short fan....squatsplease

@hotchildinthecity: DH has a full beard and I love it. I also love nude heels and skinny jeans (took me awhile to get on board with those). I also love chevron and am considering it for the new nursery...hah

I hope nude heels and skinny jeans aren't trends! I consider them classic in my wardrobe!
nectarine / 2272 posts
@NeekieRose: i'm totally ignoring people saying the chevron "trend" or whatever is "out." It's a cute pattern like polka dots or stripes or checks. Nothing to worry about
And beards on guys are the besssttt IMHO.

I think it's tiring to see the same options in the stores...that's largely why I am anti chevron and nude heels. When it becomes all you see, where's the fun?
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I am also tired of the "it works" body wraps. That's a beauty/style thing, right?!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@looch: I also get frustrated when I only see ONE thing plastered all over each and every store. I get that it's a trend, but what about the people that "trend" doesn't work for? I'd like classics please.
@mrsjyw: I consider skinnies classics too. HA.
papaya / 10473 posts
@hotchildinthecity: I am anti crop tops because they don't work for my body, and I would really like to find more full length shirts! If you can rock a trend, by all means do it! I hate that my husband's job won't let him grow a full beard... He looks pretty hot with one.
pineapple / 12526 posts
@blackbird: I'm just as sick of those as I am of shakeology. Haha. Just make a damn protein shake!
I haaaate mullet clothes and crop tops. I'm also sick of all this stuff with sheer panels up the side, I can't hide my love handles if my damn shirt is see through!
pineapple / 12526 posts
@hotchildinthecity: I love chevron, 90s fashion and my DH has a full beard too. You're not alone. Haha
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
I love chevron. lol! I agree that it's EVERYWHERE though.
The only thing I can think of is those hiking sandals everyone is wearing right now. I don't know how to describe them but they're getting really popular. I think they're ugly, but I was like whatevs, they're sports sandals. But then I found out they're $160 and now I hate them with a passion!!
cherry / 154 posts
@alohaorchid @dandelion Ohhh, beards are the one trend I can really get behind (if the guy can grow a non-patchy beard, that is). I hope they stick around a while longer!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@Boheme: I did a quick google and I think it's Chaco? A girl I work with was wearing them the other day and I asked her what was so special about them. She said she bought hers on eBay for $50 because they retail around $160. The ones I found though are like $100 - $110 at the highest so I'm not sure if they're the same. They look similar.
I personally just hate those style of sandals anyway. I always have. Haha idk why.
persimmon / 1404 posts
@hotchildinthecity: I wear skinny jeans, nude heels, short shorts allllll the time. I also bought a cute chevron dress on the weekend
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@Danizaur: Chacos and Tevas are SO COMFORTABLE though! I only wear them for pretty casual stuff - I agree they are far from the cutest shoes. They're fantastic for camping, easy hikes, the beach, or any day when you're doing a ton of walking. (Or if it's warm and rainy and you don't want to get your leather sandals wet but rain boots would be overkill.)
Wait, crop tops are back?? Omg so glad they have not made it out here.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@PawPrints: That's what I thought at first! I was like, well I bet they're great for outdoors and such. But I thought $160 was just nuts! Maybe I'll have to try a pair on to see what the fuss is about!
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@Danizaur: I would agree with that - I only paid about fifty bucks for my Tevas, and that's about the max I'd spend on sports/hiking sandals.

@Mamaof2: Unfortunately it's not just your area. I see people all the time wearing pjs at the grocery store and they are mostly adults. Is it so hard to put on a pair of pants when you go out.
pomelo / 5509 posts
@alohaorchid: @Dandelion: Whaaaa? DH has a beard! But he has had it for years, so maybe that makes it less of a "trend" for him?
coconut / 8430 posts
@Danizaur: I had them when I used to do a lot of boating and they were great because they were comfy and stayed on my feet well and I could go in & out of water and they would dry fast. I recall buying them on sale for $50 or so though! A river raft guy I spoke to said they were the only sandals that would stay on his feet if he got dunked in the rapids.
I bought an extra pair back then and never used them and was so happy to sell them on eBay and get most of my money back!

I
all things hipster and beards! I dress my son like a little hipster. I guess it's the Baltimore in me.
pomegranate / 3643 posts
Floral jeans and small backpacks. It makes me feel like I'm in fourth grade again.
Also, are black bras and see through tops a trend? Or is that just my SIL? She will even wear it to family stuff. No way I would want GFIL to see my bra!
DH has a full beard, wears flannel, has glasses, and drinks PBR. But that's just cause he's from Montana. He's not very hipster. He hates shaving, it's cold here, he is near sighted and can't wear contacts, and well, PBR is good. (We mainly drink microbrews, actually. But that is *very* Montana!)
I always start off hating trends and ending up liking them. Like skinny jeans and chevron. But I would be happy wearing chacos, boot cut jeans, and a v neck t shirt every single day. Which will probably be the old lady outfit of my generation, but oh well!
papaya / 10473 posts
@Danizaur: @PawPrints: hahaha! I have a pair of Chacos that I've been wearing for the last 10 years! They have zero signs of wear after all this time. However, I bought them because I kayak and it's nice to have shoes I can get wet that protect my feet from rocks etc. I don't ever wear them in general public

Nude heels are classics. Here to stay thankfully cause I love them!
So tired of high waisted denim cutoffs that often show a little cheek. Not flattering unless you are a supermodel and they just look ugly even then.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
@Danizaur: @sunny: @Boheme: I have a pair that I've had for 5 years and they are pretty much the only shoe I wear out of work. DH has a pair that he wears all the time, so much so that we did our pregnancy announcement to friends by taking a picture of ours with a small pink pair.
ETA - I have three pair and have never paid more than $75.

Ugh, I had to come back on here just to post something else I was reminded of. Not a fashion trend, but the trend on social media with everyone saying "Dat _____ tho!" or "Dem _____ tho!" Gahd, just stop! Where did this even come from? Sorry if anyone does this...but it makes me cringe every time I see it.
end rant, lol.

HATE chevron, hi-lo anything, crop tops, tight jumpsuits, and neon.
LOVE skinny jeans, nude heels, polka dots, and beards. LOVE beards. DH has had one since high school and I love it.
