DH and I are planning on using CD for our first little one- due in July! I know it's totally baby-dependent, but just wondering what type of CD's everyone ended up having the most success with?

I didn't vote because we ended up liking a mixture of AIOs and prefolds/fitteds + covers.

@Weagle: Thanks, I updated the poll with a 'multiple types' option

We liked the one size, AIOs, mostly because they took the least amount of effort

We use all pockets, all bum genius. I never tried any others and ours have worked pretty well for us, all things considered. We've been cloth diapering almost 18 months now.

Bumgenius freetimes. I'm not down with stuffing stuff. I just wanted the easiest one possible

We love the AIOs for the same reason as @lovehoneybee: We did exactly what everyone says not to do and bought an entire stash of BG Freetimes. Thankfully, we got lucky and love them
We did use prefolds and covers for the newborn stage and it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

BG Freetimes. We went with AIOs because we wanted daycare to also use the CDs and knew that that would be the only way they'd feel comfortable. Plus, as 2 full-time working parents, we needed quick and easy. We bought the entire stash up front on a wing and a prayer, and luckily we love them.

Our favorite for the first 10 months or so were size small fuzzibunz pockets. After that and until we potty trained at 26 months, we preferred bum genius freetimes.

We use a mix of AIO's, pockets and fitteds. I never tried prefolds, but I think I will use them during the newborn stage next time as I'm sure they would fit better and we could use them sooner than the AIO's.

We use all kinds...newborns, AIO, prefolds, hybrids, fitted, pockets and flats.

Multiple types depending on need: fitted with covers for newborn stage and night, pockets and AI2s for day.

We have a mix of BG Freetimes and prefolds/covers. I think I actually prefer the prefolds.

We used pockets because they were cheaper than AIO's and more daycare friendly than Covers+prefold. We were happy with them and it was easy to experiment with different covers and inserts to find what works.

We use BumGenius pockets, GroVia AI2 hybrids, and Kissaluvs contoured fitteds for nighttime. I love the BGs and the Grovias. The Kissas are hit or miss.

We had a variety of styles, but preferred the AIOs the most by far (we LOVED Tots Bots Easy Fit). After that, we liked BG 4.0s, and a hybrid system (Best Bottoms, I think?) least.

We have BG Freetimes and love them. I like flips (insert and liner) but my DH and daycare like the AIOs. I like the flips bc I do the wash.

We use BestBottoms & Itti Bitti Tutto. I love love love them both! Inserts snap in & out of reusable covers...& they are good mid-priced diapers. I'm happy with our decision!

We got a whole stash of BG 4.0s and loved them. While stuffing is a tiny pain, it made then dry so quickly on the line that the trade off was worth it. LO is out of diapers but we plan to reuse for #2 someday!

Prefolds and covers have been good for us. But we haven't had to deal with daycare or other caregivers, other types are probably easier in that situation.
