@Leialou: We were also debating others that are similar to this. Are all of the bulbs on? Do you get to choose? Is it too bright with all of them on?

An ugly one! Original to house from 1958.

@Reese: we wired it so that only a few of the bulbs turn on. The others are attached to a thin rope that looks like the wiring. It would definitely be too bright with all of them on. It's really bright with the 1/4 we have that light up. We have to use a dimmer.

We have a crappy one that isn't worth taking a picture of. This is my dream one though

Our dining room is casual, so we have an aged copper six arm chandelier with those little lamp shade things.

@hellobeeboston: I have that one in my Texas house. I love it so much.

In our condo here, we have a black iron one that is just okay (it was here when we moved in). A lot of people put the little lampshades on this type of fixture, but that's too traditional for my taste, so we've just left it naked.
