DH says he'll outgrow it, but I say he can enjoy it or live with it for 5-10 years at least.

I wanted a modern chandelier but my husband thinks people cant live without a ceiling fan so we compromised on a silver ceiling fan.

We have a plain overhead light that basically blends into the ceiling for now. I adore that airplane, it's super cute and I think it would grow up well.
I am on the hunt for a nice table lamp for my son's bedside table but the one I want is over $150 and it just seems like overkill.

We don't have any electrical up in the ceilings, and we make do with floor and desk lamps. One day I'll call the electrician and have electric run into each room. One day...

@yin: that's what we did in our house, I need an overhead light in the bedroom so we had an electrician run the wires in from the attic.
I would love to do a fancy chandelier in our bedroom, one of these days!

This was what the previous owners had in the nursery. I'm eh about it. It's so dim!! I want to change it out.
