We bought a newish home because we're not really "upgrade" people - we're lazy! But I would LOVE to finish our basement to make it more useable! Also, it could use new paint - some of the colors are just bleh!

Finish the built ins in our addition
Finish the basement
Paver patio our back
Install a gas fireplace
New windows
Reno the upstairs bathroom
Add a vestibule to the front entry

sigh.... all these are big projects that take money......

Renovate the entire master bath and kitchen!!!

Remodel kitchen and 2 bathrooms
Paint (again)
Make basement into family room
Switch dining room and current living room
Landscaping

In this house, I want new carpet and fresh paint on the walls. But we have been talking more and more about moving, so I don't know if these will happen! I would rather put the money into the new place!

New carpet, new light fixtures (everything was brass. We're slowly transitioning to brushed nickel), new oven/microwave/dishwasher (the fridge is newer),redo the backyard (big project in a few years).

We built a home, but we'd still like to finish the basement and add on a deck.

We have an "upgrade in the next year" list + an "upgrade in the next 5 years list"

In the next year:
Upgrade bathroom faucets
Re-do tree beds in backyard
Finish replacing the light fixtures in the dining room/entry
Paint the Master Bathroom
Buy a new fridge (sort of a house upgrade!)
Paint the front door red or buy a new front door

In the next 5:
Replace the A/C unit
Replace the counter tops with either nicer laminate or solid surface and add a tile backsplash
Replace the fake wood floors with nicer looking fake wood floors
Replace the shower surround in the Master Bath

I want to redo my kitchen and master bath and get new flooring.

Finish the basement
Upgrade the kitchen counter-tops to granite
Upgrade the master bath counter-tops
Replace french doors in the living room (2 sets)
Resod the backyard and frontyard
Carpet in master bedroom
Replace light fixtures

in the past 2 years, we have put in hardwood floors in our bedroom, renovated our bathroom, upgraded our bedroom, office, foyer and dining room. still left to do: garbage disposal, new fan/light in bathroom, and retile the kitchen floor/backsplash. nothing major but i've hit a wall.

Our house is new, so there are just a few things:

Paint (builder paint blows!)
Finish the basement (we've started)
Garden (so far we suck at this...)
Backsplash

Re-paint the spare bedroom, I'd love to rip the tile out and replace it in our foyer, kitchen and upstairs bathroom. In a dream world I'd re-do the downstairs bathroom too. I would also love to repaint and recarpet the family room.

Same here! Our house was built in 1958 and we are going to have to wait until we have saved up more money to do everything we want but it will be great when we can...add hardwoods, new appliances in kitchen, exterior paint, paint rooms, add a staircase and rooms to finished attic, update bathrooms. I cannot wait!

We NEED new windows but we WANT a new master bathroom. Needless to say it will be new windows in the spring!
