Did you have a natural birth, use a bath tub, get an epidural, have a c-section, get an induction, have an extraction, etc?
I had an epidural and the baby was removed using a vacuum extraction.

Spontaneous water burst with no contractions at 38w5d. 36 hour induction with cytotec, pitocin, epidural. Emergency C-section eventually, lots of bleeding on my end. Then NICU for 2-3 days. Ugh. Needless to say the next one will be a scheduled RCS.

Intervention free birth in a hospital attended by midwives. Some monitoring when my son's heart rate dropped, but other than that, I was wireless.

No forceps or vacuum. No episiotomy, a few 1st and 2nd degree tears.

Preterm vaginal birth, nitrous only. I was literally minutes or even seconds from being taken to an OR for a c-section though. She started crowning as they were getting consent from DH (I was too out of it).

Med-free, vaginal birth with my first. I spent hours in the shower, as the heat helped immensely. Didn't even get to the hospital until it was time to push!

I went into labor spontaneously, had an (ineffective) epidural, vaginal birth, episiotomy, and vacuum extraction. Not my plan, but it could have ended much worse.

With DS1- spontaneous labor after a membrane sweep, epidural and then they briefly put me on pitocin but never went above level 3 and I asked them to turn it off. Then they broke my water and I started dilating very quickly. Otherwise very uneventful birth. I bled a little more than they would have liked, technically a hemorrhage, but I didn't even know about that until afterwords.

LO1: IV med to help with sleep, IV fluids, very late epidural, vaginal birth (45 hours)
LO2: IV fluids, antibiotics for GBS, TENS machine, nitrous, but otherwise med-free vaginal birth (12 hours)
Both were good birth experiences, mostly due to the support I had from the CNMs and nurses at the hospital!
