I always wanted a play kitchen and a Power Wheels Jeep. I never got them, but so I'm going to live vicariously through DD - LOL

A pound puppy! For those younger than me it was a stuffed animal that came in a cardboard house - my friends had them....everyone had them.... except me =(

a puppy.
My parents totally told me if I kept my closet clean I could get a puppy when I was 13.
I'm almost 30. No freaking puppy.

Doll house and a treehouse
Technically I had a dollhouse, but my dad never put the kit together. I still remember the box. The house had shingles.

Precious Places mansion.
My best friend had it, and my cousin had it and I was always so jealous and played with it for hours at their house.
For those who don't know, Precious Places was sort of a dollhouse town that moved the figures down the streets with magnet wands.

To go on a vacation the required a plane ride. The first time I flew I was in college! Saving for family vacations is important to me for this reason.

Hmmm...we had all the toys we ever wanted. I think I wanted a pool. We have one now for DS. Other than that: I think I wanted to be on swim teams or something but never made it, so if DS likes a sport, I'll be sure to get him proper training.

A Mr Frosty ice maker and a hamster. I put them on my Xmas list for Santa every year I bought the hamster once I got to Uni!

Power Wheels and an Easy Bake. My mom didn't trust a cake baked by a lamp, and preferred I ride my bicycle.

American Girl Felicity.
I actually had a friend buy her for me for Christmas about 4 years ago because she overheard me talking about it one day. I'm glad because she's retired now and I'd be sad I never had a chance to own her.

I always wanted an American Girl doll. My mom said they were too absurdly priced.
I have already purchased one for my daughter who is not even one yet. (Granted, they were retiring the doll she shares a name with so I felt I needed to buy one now!). We'll probably give it to her for Christmas when she's five or six.

Hmm, I must have been really spoiled because I can't think of anything I wanted but didn't have... oh, except a rock tumber. I really wanted one for the longest time and I don't think I ever got one.
Other things I remember wanting that I DID get... cabbage patch kids, colorforms, light bright, Snoopie snow cone machine, puppy, pony (my grandparents' pony came to live on our farm), and a bicycle.

I always wanted a cabbage patch kid since EVERYONE had one. My mom thought they were ugly so she bought me a lookalike called a "doll baby". It looked just like cabbage patch so I have no idea why she even bothered. Maybe it was cheaper?
I also wanted that baby doll where you dissolved the packet in water and you found out whether it was a boy or a girl, got their birth certificate, etc.
When I was older I wanted a starter jacket. Ridic since I was not into sports!
I also always wanted a Barbie dollhouse. My parents bought me the RV because I said I also wanted the car. 2 birds, I suppose. The little Asian girl with her trailer park Barbie...

Easy Bake oven. Apparently my mom got one for me and then freaked out about the fire hazard and returned it.
I also wished we had cable. My cousins had it and I wanted to watch MTV whenever we went over there so I could talk about music videos at school, too.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I've never heard of a parent wanting a kid to clean their closet... and then promising you a puppy you'll never get
@Mamaof2: LOL - I love that you explained it
@lawbee11:
@spaniellove: HA! I totally forgot about those
