Best - My little brother flew in and we got to spend some time together - I hadn't seen in him in over 2.5 years!

Worst - He's heading to my parents place 3 hours away today and is flying out from there, so I won't see him again this trip I couldn't take time off this week.

I can't think of a bad thing for this weekend! I took DH away for an overnight to see his favorite band! And our move went super smoothly! And my cats are co-existing, which I didn't expect to happen until this weekend. My new place is beautiful and I took the day off today to organize

Best: Morning snuggles in bed with LO on Saturday and Sunday mornings (we don't co-sleep but I bring LO into bed after she wakes up on the weekend). She cuddles with me for a couple of minutes then enjoys crawling all over me and banging on the headboard.

Worst: Teething

best: i watched eight documentaries that were all super interesting

worst: i watched eight documentaries... and did nothing else. Dh was away for the weekend and i made no plans with friends so i was crazy bored/lazy/tired/lonely! blah!

@autumnlove: i watched one called the invisible war that was so fascinating to me but... also really upsetting. it was about rape culture and the prevalance of rape in the american military. also i watched it's a girl which i hadn't seen but had been meaning to for a while! those were probably my two favourites, although both deeply disturbing.

Best: MLB game, walk off win in the 9th inning saturday and having a lazy day with LO all day sunday

Worst: whiney LO due to minimal naps and teething

Best: going out to a wine bar with some friends we hadn't seen in awhile.

Worst: I only had one day off, booo

Best: Took E to the park yesterday; had a lot of fun. I also got some reading in

Worst: I was hungover most of the day Saturday. #winning

@blackbird: that was us a couple weekends ago. Never been so happy for R to need two naps as that day.

Best - We were in Prince Edward Island for my grandmother's 90th birthday...about 40 of us and we had soooo much fun. From horse races to the boardwalk to the beach, it was a blast

Worst - dd does NOT do well in hotel rooms and was up from 3-5am every night this weekend

@mrs. bird: ooo i'll have to look for that one, i haven't heard of it. i honestly can't remember half of the ones i watched haha. i watched one called aroused that was about porn stars... seriously. haha. i watched sons of perdition about boys that hve been exiled from the FLDS community. life 2.0 about Second Life, the video game. i watched the jeffrey dahmer files. a few episodes of River Monsters... and i can't remember the other ones i watched! they've escaped me, i'll have to check my netflix acct haha. pretty productive weekend

Best: going to see Into the Storm with DH and having margaritas.
Worst: having a freaky looking spider on my hat crawling towards my face while I was mowing the lawn yesterday.

@mrs. bird: oooh i almost watched pageant last night! haha. thanks for all the recos, i need to watch all of those. i'm (obviously) on a huge documentary kick right now. gonna go look up what all of those are about!!! thanks!

@loki: @mrs. bird: haha I just went on a documentary kick too! I was totally going to recommend Half the Sky (rape culture in Sierra Leone). So ridiculously horrifying. I always binge on documentaries and then stop watching for a very long time because I get too emotional. I also watched Brave Miss World which was also about rape and that was very good.

I love ones like Forgotten Planet and documentaries about Pompeii.

In my latest binge I watched one called Stuck which was about delayed international adoptions... so very frustrating to watch... I also watched a few cult ones... and ones about mail order brides (Email Order Bride?), Commune, First Position.. before that I was on an I Shouldn't Be Alive kick, and before that, Prison Wives.

Best: spent some great, much needed quality time together as a family.
Worst: capped off a nice weekend with a silly fight with DH over what our new morning routine will be when I go back to work in a week.

@mrs. wagon: i have such a long list now!!! i need DH to go outta town again so i can binge watch like i did this weekend. thanks for the recos! i dunno why i love watching things that make me so emotional but it makes me feel like a better citizen of the world to know the kind of things that go on. i was horrified by the invisible war and think everyone should watch it asap.

Best: I picked up the DH on Saturday morning from the hospital. DH's minor surgery went well and it appears the procedure is helping. Let's hope it continues to help.

Worst: The cold I had all last week started to get better on Wednesday and Thursday but by Friday my cough got worse. By Saturday, I was coughing up mucus. I'm pretty sure, I have bronchitis.

@mrs. wagon: 'email order bride'! yes! i've seen that one, my BFF's dad had a mail order bride, very interesting dynamic. the brothel in 'half the sky' where they had 2 year olds being sold for sex, oh that broke my heart! i love 'prison wives'! the one with the guy who left his wife to marry the woman in prison and adopt her children and then he kept a mannequin wearing a wedding dress in a room in the house so they had a woman in the house.... crazy town!
