What was the first movie your kiddo saw in theatre? How old were they? Did it go well?
T is 3 years, 3 months and I really want to take him to a movie!

I'm so freaked out by all the movie theater attacks (there was one 15 minutes from my office yesterday afternoon) that I'm honestly not sure I'll ever take my LO to a movie in the theaters. Which is really sad.

We took DD to see Inside Out. She is almost 2.5 and doesn't weigh enough to keep the seat down. I think there were booster seats that might've helped but she just sat on my lap. She loved it!

M is almost 3 and we haven't taken her. I considered taking her to Inside Out but she is very much affected by other people's emotions and I thought she might be really bothered by the emotional roller coaster.
I loved the movie though!

LO was 3 and saw the live-action Cinderella. She was awesome - quiet and totally wrapped up in the movie. Only time she made a peep was when Cinderella appeared in her gown and LO exclaimed excitedly "it's Cinderella!!!!".
@sheskrafty: my LO had trouble keeping the seat down too, it kept trying to fold up with her in it! So, she spent most of the movie in my lap

So timely, I took L to see Minions last weekend and she has been walking round saying 'ba-na-na' ever since. She had a great time!

About 2.5. He saw Home. He really liked it. He got scared during one of the previews (I don't remember what it was, but there was a lot of fire). But during the actual movie he did great, sat still, and actually laughed out loud a few times!

@sheskrafty: Booster seat definitely helps. No way D would have been heavy enough to weight the seat down on his own, but the booster gave enough weight plus I kind of wedged it in against the back to help hold the seat down.
