I feel like I'm constantly buying for the kiddos! I know a lot of you can relate. And I normally feel really guilty buying for myself but I recently got a few gift cards that I chose to actually - gasp - use on myself. So I purchased a CD (which I will admittedly share with DH), a movie, and a book - all for me.
What was the last thing you bought purely for yourself, not because you needed it?

Nice! I really try to focus on myself a lot more. The kids really dont care that they get a new outfit or whatever. Even though I get joy out of buying them a cute outfit, it really doesn't impact my day to day life. I find that a new outfit or top for me can really make for a happy momma when I have options I love in my closet and have to get dressed for work in the morning.

Some Sperry's a month ago or more that'd I'd been eyeing for awhile. I really need to get some new jeans/shorts but since I'm TTC hate to spend the money when they won't fit very long (most likely).

@T.H.O.U.: @Mrs. Grizzly Bear: I asked for a gift card to shop for my son for my birthday. I am much happier buying clothes for him than for myself. I think it's because he looks adorable in everything and I don't??
I last bought myself new bras. I was still wearing a nursing bra almost a year since weaning so it was time.

@LBee: Yes! I love shopping for kid clothes and its so much nicer knowing pretty much that anything 2T will fit him. Where as I have to try things on, find things to match etc. But at the end of the day, Momma isn't happy if I dont splurge sometimes on things for me. With my first I found she ended up with a great closet and I was miserable every time I went to get dressed. After my second child, I made a point to instead of shopping for even more baby clothes (that we didn't need) I looked for great pieces that made me feel great.

Haha, I am the only person on the planet that detests shopping for kid clothes...my son has a clear preference, he chooses his own stuff and man, there's a lot of neon in this year's ensembles!
I buy stuff for myself on a regular basis...there are very few things that I actually need, but most recently I purchased a set of watercolor pencils. I am going to attempt to do my Fantastic Cities coloring book this summer.
THOU: I agree. I need stuff for work, there's no getting around it.

A couple shirts and dresses to fit over my growing baby belly. I found a great consignment store where everything looks pretty much new but they heavily discount anything that hasn't sold within a month or two.

I just bought these shorts and tank from athleta today!
and last week I bought these (also from athleta) and I'm in LOVE with the swimsuit. It fits sooo well, the swim shorts are a mid-rise so they hide some belly, but are still cute/sexy. My hubby loves it. The top holds everything in really well also.

Two pairs of shorts and two bathing suit tops. Will probably return one of the tops but I have the hardest time finding something that will fit my nursing boobs! I only have one top that I wore all last summer and I really need/want a second one at least.

@Mrs. Pen: is that top supportive? That combo is super cute but I thought the top wouldn't be supportive enough.
I recently bought a few rash guards and swim bottoms from lands end, but I haven't even tried them on to see if I am keeping any. Everyone is sick and tired and why add trying on swimsuits to that mix?

@Foodnerd81: I was shocked, but yes it is. I am a 36D and I haven't had any issues and already worn it to the pool twice. If you look at the back, all the straps are fully adjustable so I make mine pretty tight and it holds everything in very well.
