I opened this thread planning to contribute and then realized it was a terrible idea to read all of these responses while pregnant!! It totally freaked me out!!
That said, for LO1 it was the pushing. I do not know wtf people are talking about when they say that was some sort of relief. It was excruciating and way worse than contractions for me.

@sslm: If it makes you feel any better, during my labor with my second kiddo, one of the nurses said that a fast labor for a second is a reward for a tough first labor. She wasn't wrong at all. By the time that I got into the hospital, I had progressed pretty well that I could have delivered him sooner than I did. The second time around, they delayed his entrance because of the antibiotics and GBS. My first labor was long (14 hours) and full of movement, etc. My second one was practically ignored while they waited until the meds took hold. Once I reached 4 hours after getting antibiotics, they delivered him. By that point, he had already pushed out his bag of waters and was putting so much pressure on that he was ready to go.
