I was the third of four kids, and was definitely a middle child. I wasn't a classic middle though, because I was the younger of identical twins. So I was both a middle and a younger at the same time, if that makes any sense.

At the time I didn't like it very much, but over time I've come to see that it was very freeing not to be the oldest! And being younger and having older siblings forces you to develop skills to compete with older kids. If I could go back in time though, I'd rather be the youngest than a middle!

What was your birth order growing up? Were you treated differently than your siblings?
