I loved playing board games when I was little. My favorites were LIFE, Clue, and the lesser known spin-off Clue Museum Caper. All my friends liked that one because no one else had it. How about you?

Sorry! Loved that game...we played it when I was hospitalized as a kid. Made me laugh!

Which reminds me I had ask my Mom to see if we still have it, otherwise I'm ordering one!

@mrs. 64: I loved clue museum caper! That was a great game. I also loved sorry and Parcheesi. But we played a lot of card games too.

I don't know if you would have had these games in the States but my favourite board games were:
The Key to the Kingdom (it had a board that opened out when you jumped in whirlpools and you had to seek treasure and fight monsters!)
Bewitched (it had black cats in your path and spell books under plastic witches hats!)
Vampire (the only thing I remember about this game was a plastic vampire on the board and when you took his hat off his head was a stamp so if you were "bitten" you had to dip his head in the ink and stamp yourself!).
I also loved Monopoly.

Monopoly, LIFE, and Pictionary. Still love playing Pictionary. My brother and I are so good at that game.

Mall Madness!
And Pay Day, which was all about paying bills theoughout the month and buying investments. It was so oddly satisfying.
ETA: Life too, my BFF and I made a rule where you could buy kids after you passed a certain point.

Our favorite was LIFE. My older sister and I cheated by ripping the corner of the houses we liked the best (the cozy cottage and the tudor!) and my little sister just couldn't figure out how we always ended up with the best houses and she ended up with the beach house every time!

@twodoghouse: I had the old version of life without the house or job cards. You just landed on a spot that said "buy house" and spun to get a salary, I think...

Ah, so hard to pick. I loved so many. Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land, Sorry, LIFE. I also really love most kid card games - go fish, mother goose, UNO, etc.

@twodoghouse: Haha, poor baby sis. I think I probably cheated at LIFE too. I always wanted to be the teacher, with the good house, and a lot of girl babies.
