@LovelyPlum: Your posts are bringing back so many memories for me...I had the same due date as you, but in 2013! Hang in there, mama. These last weeks are difficult mentally. It sounds like your body is doing a great job preparing though

Speaking of Tylenol: I didn't convince myself it was labor until I took 2 extra strength rule old AND a hot shower AND a good bathroom visit & they pain in my abdominal still did not go away. Then I was like, "huh, that's odd."

My water broke at 38+6 but contractions hadn't started 12+ hours later, so I was induced.

That afternoon baby was going NUTS inside. I joked to my friend that he's kicking so hard that I think my water will break.... and that's exactly what happened! My MW said my water broke really high up, so it could have been from him!

    Period-like cramps that were timeable.

umm.... I was in complete denial that I was in labour. So, it didn't really click until I was admitted into the hospital.

@heartonastring: I remember your last few weeks! Yours was one of the first little ones that came after I had really joined the hive, and I remember your waiting for your LO to arrive. Thanks for the support. I'm OK with waiting a few more weeks-this unknown is what's killing me! Hoping that all of this pre-labor work that my body's doing will help me come showtime!

@CupQuakeWalk: I like that. I think that's becoming my plan-when I don't feel well, I lay on the heating pad, take a shower, take Tylenol. So far, it's all seemed to work. I suppose eventually it won't, and then we'll know it's showtime

    @QBbride: oh my gosh!

@.twist.: your water broke slowly, right?

I had false labour like yours. I figured something was finally up when the contractions were bad enough that I couldn't sleep in between them.

I chose Feeling Off and Waters Breaking... Although the feeling off was only in hindsight. My aunt took me to my midwife appointment the day before I gave birth and she told me that she thought something must have been about to happen because I was in a really dark mood. I cried for like an hour that afternoon for absolutely no reason and then my waters broke at 11pm that evening.
I'd lost my plug about a week and a half prior and had a couple of bouts of practice contractions but they were nothing compared to the real deal!

@Grace: fair enough. I've always been able to fall asleep eventually. I figure I won't be able to sleep through the real deal!

@LovelyPlum: my mom and I have been joking all day that today is the day because my dog has been unusually clingy with me.... If anything happens, you might have to add an option to the poll!

back pain/cramps and had to go to the bathroom (not diarrhea) like five times every twenty minutes. the timeable contractions didn't come until six+ hours later.

@jill_a55: DUDE. My dog has been unbelievable in the clinginess department the last 48 hours. DH and I have been very suspicious, because she will not leave me alone. So yeah, I might have to

@LovelyPlum: seriously!? They know something's going on. I will totally crack up if we both go into labor today/tomorrow after the serious clinginess going on!

@LovelyPlum: @jill_a55: I'm excited for both of you! Hope it happens soon. FWIW, my dog has been very clingy and laying on my feet at night (usually doesn't sleep in our bed) this past week. It turns out all the "crampy feelings" were contractions so who knows!

Period cramps, but I wasn't sure what was really going on or if it was labor. I expected real labor to hurt more......it started hurting horrible about 2 hours after the period cramps started.

@jill_a55: @twodoghouse: seriously! I've had contractions all week, but they are obnoxiously far apart and/or keep going away. DH and I are both exhausted from all of this false labor already, and it's starting to get on my nerves. I'm looking forward to the real thing!

Also @twodoghouse: we knew something was up when the dog decided to take a nap on top of the blanket I had covering me up yesterday. DH and I both looked at each other like, "uh oh, today might be the day..." Alas, it wasn't to be, but she is still like glue to me, so who knows.
