Inspired by bpcmarj's comment on the college song thread. What was the go to slow dance song at your middle school/Jr High dances?
Ours was End of the Road by Boyz II Men! I was too nerdy to get asked to dance (and too shy to ask anyone) so I stood to the side during the slow dances.

I only had one slow dance in middle school and it was stairway to heaven. The local dj was really into classic rock

I went to catholic school. We didn't have dances!
But OMG hand holding during couples skate!!! We had skating parties on Tuesdays after report cards were issued.

Another Stairway to Heaven fan! Long and dramatic, perfect for a middle schooler, but the fast ending made it awkward. We also loved Eric Clapton "Lovely Tonight."

@sunny: did we go to the same middle school...the slow dance of all slow dances was definitely End of the Road! I had no shame, I totally asked boys to school dances in middle school ...we only had one a year

I'm sure we danced to some of the ones on this list, but the one I can truly remember dancing to is Desperado by the Eagles. That might have been my first slow dance ever.
ETA: it's coming back to me now...Whitney's I Will Always Love You, Again by Janet Jackson, Always by Bon Jovi, the various 90s Aerosmith ballads, Extreme's More than Words.
