Next weekend I have a wedding, and the bride gave us an awesome gift for our wedding so I feel like I have to do the same. It's a personalized egg plate with our names and wedding date on it. I collect egg plates and it was such a fun surprise!
She is always talking about how she loves puzzles, so I think I'll scan their save the date card, which is a picture of the couple's name written in the sand and a sunset, and make it into a puzzle. Hoping she loves it!

We had two gifts that were gift baskets. One was of items from one of my friends' hometown. She and her husband don't have a lot but she made most of the items she gave us or bought them locally. It was so thoughtful. The other was a basket of "newlywed" items.

My BMs went in on a group gift. They got my me and the DH football jersey t-shirts from our favorite team. It has my last name and the day the we got married. I thought it was a great gift!

@artbee: LOL Sexy Time!!! Well, she wrapped one thing that was slightly inappropriate but the rest were nice things like a book about people who had been married for 50 years and games to play when we're bored together.

We didn't get anything too strange, but my parents got a pretty odd gift for their wedding: a rocking chair in a Jack Daniels bottle. My dad always had it in his office when we were kids and broke it a year or two before I got married, so my gift to my parents for hosting our wedding was a replacement chair in a bottle!

Our most "unique" gift was a gift basket of random garage sale finds from one of my husband's coworkers. He didn't even attempt to take off the garage sale price stickers. It was kind of funny since we know the guy who gave it to us. It had a random set of like 3 drinking glasses, 2 bath towels (I use them for the dogs), a potato masher, some garden tools, etc. Some of the things I kept (like dog towels) but most got put in our very own garage sale pile.

We received a ceramic blob....it is white, glossy and very odd. My friend's wife dabbles in pottery...Lol

We received a beautiful handmade embroidered gift from my aunt that had our names and wedding date on it. We also got a set of painted Adirondack chairs from my mom for our lake house that we love.

We received a quilt that had been handmade by my DH's grandmother, who passed away 20 years ago. She had made quilts for all her grand kids before she died and instructed DH's uncle to give the quilts to them as gifts when they each got married. We had no idea this was coming. His uncle explained the above in a note he wrote on DH's Grandmother's personal stationary, which he had also kept from 20 years ago. It was amazing to see DH's response when we opened it up.

@autumnlove: That's so weird! My MIL gave my DH a ceramic booby mug that she made. She used to do pottery making and painting a lot and got bored making the same old plate and bowl.
