Tea bags! We also had a cookie table, but that's not really a favor for.us...just a Western PA tradition! My mom also made a candy bar, which was really cool.

We had a smaller (<50 ppl) destination wedding and gave people the option of a place to stay at the beach for the week leading up to it, which also included meals and a non-rehearsal rehearsal dinner the night before open to all guests. Mostly immediate family and a few close friends came down early. We also gave candy at the reception.

We had packets of flower and vegetable seeds. I bought some cute brown paper packets and stuffed them with seeds I bought in bulk off Ebay.

We made a donation to St Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of favors and left a card explaining the donation at each seat. Our guests seemed to have liked the idea which I'm happy to hear.

@LovelyPlum: we had a cookie table too, but most of our guests were from central pa so they had no clue what the deal was! We didn't do additional favors, we set out bags by the cookie table. Still had tons left!

We bought shoes for every child at a Romanian orphanage I had spend three summers volunteering at. We had a big table with pictures of the kids and an explanation and significance of the donation to us. Most of the guests already knew about my passion for Romanian orphans and loved it!!
We also had a photo booth so guests could take something fun and memorable home. It was such a hit!

We had traditional sri lankan wedding cake (which is just like English fruit cake with marzipan on top, packaged in pretty boxes) at our first reception and my grandmother's special recipe Strawberry jam at our second reception. My mom and sister made it, so it was really special for me.

We gave out handmade moose ornaments for our destination wedding in Maine. We had them personalized with "Maine 2011" and included a little note about how DH and I collect ornaments when we travel, and love remembering each trip when we decorate the tree, and hoped that our guests would recall fond memories of our wedding weekend each year when they see this ornament. No one left any behind, so that was a good sign!

We had cake pops at each place setting...I guess that counts. Hahahah, we also did a late-night cookie bar, with way too many different kinds of cookies and little cartons of milk for people to take.

@dagret: but that's the best part!!! If they didn't take any home, what did they eat for breakfast the next morning???? I mean, that's what they're there for, right?
