I sort of cringe when I think of those hospital gowns. What did you wear? What other options are there?

I wore a hospital gown. I didn't want to wear anything special I had to worry about cleaning.

I arrived to the hospital in shorts and a tank top, and they had me switch to a gown once I was admitted, but i kept my tank top on. After we got to the room, they had me take the gown off, so I was just in a tank top and bra. They had me take the bra off right after she was born, so we could do skin to skin.

Hospital gown. Just easier and birth is messy. I stayed in a gown the whole time which I didn't think I would - it hurt too much to move!

A hospital gown. My friend got me a pretty floral gown that the nurses changed me into after T was born and they washed all the blood of- my photos afterwards look nicer. I'm glad I did not wear it for the birth.

One of those strapless bras that's just a band. That's it. I meant to take it off before hand, but I just pulled it down when she was born, so we could have skin to skin. (I was at home, so my options were to be naked or have my own clothes on)

Just the hospital gown. Birth is super messy and I didn't want to get anything that dirty and have to clean it myself. I changed the next morning after a shower into a nursing gown.

I don't really remember, but I'm pretty sure a hospital gown. I labored in a skirt and tank, but then I was in and out of the tub so a gown was easier. I changed into my own clothes after.

I wore a nursing tank. It was perfect. Then I wore the standard hospital gown for much of the rest of my stay.

I wore a nursing tank under a gown. I needed some kind of support for my large chest. Next time I will probably just wear a nursing sleep bra or something like that because the tank bunched up a lot.

Just the hospital gown. I didn't want to get my clothes all gross and it was nice to have the easy access for nursing.

Nothing. I gave birth au natural. I changed into a black nursing tank and black yoga pants after birth.

Hospital gown, and a bra that I still had on because my labor was so fast I never had a chance to take it off. I managed to get it off after she was born so we could breastfeed, and it was dangling off the IV line for a good while, which made my doula laugh.

A black, cotton nightgown! I'd been laboring in it when we finally went to the birth center. I transferred to the hospital right away (high blood pressure) but was crowning so there was no time to change or anything!

Nothing...I started in the gown but got in the tub and didn't have time to get dressed. Next time I'd like to bring a cheap sports bra so I at least have something on.

Naked for the first one. A sports bra for the second - I took off my leggings and shirt when it was time to get in the birthing tub and I decided to keep the bra on.

Hospital gown. I didn't bother changing into anything else during my stay.

I bought two cheapie night gowns and wore them both - once during labor, one inmediately after - i was comfortable and felt much better versus wearing hospital gown.

Hospital gown. There is no way I was going to get my own clothes that dirty. No, thank you.

Hospital gown. I had grand aspirations of changing into some clothes I brought but ugh. I felt gross and sweaty and strange crazy amazing things were happening left and right and changing my clothes didn't cross my mind.

I laboured at home in leggings and a t-shirt, but once we got to the hospital I gave birth in a hospital gown. I don't even remember it being put on!

Hospital gown. And I never changed out of one my whole stay. It was just much easier and more comfortable. Plus...after birth is really messy. Lol

Hospital gown, thank goodness. Birth is messssssy. I'm so glad I didn't have any of my real clothes to ruin.

Since I labored for some time in a tub, I wore this bandeau/bra thing they gave me. You stop caring or showing modesty in labor!

Hospital gown with DS. I was hospitalized for weeks and found the maternity gowns comfy and convenient. With DD I think I wasn't wearing anything. I'm trying to remember. I started in a sundress, then undressed to move over to a tub, then a robe and maybe a tank top, then I think nothing, but I don't remember!

For my first child, I wore the hospital gown and I HATED it. It was so large and kept needing to be adjusted. I ended up just being in a sports bra at the end.
For my second, I wore a black nursing tank, so I could unclip it for skin-to-skin, and a stretchy short black skirt I got from a thrift store & threw in the trash afterward. I was glad to have something else to wear (although my time at the hospital in labor was only 45 minutes). Afterwards, I wore a different nursing tank & some stretchy shorts.

My husband's Star Wars t-shirt! Makes me really happy, since I'm an obnoxiously huge Star Wars fan. It wasn't intentional though. They tried to get me to change but I wouldn't cooperate. They were lucky I let them get my pants off.

Just a hospital gown. I sweated so much I wouldn't have wanted anything else! For a long time in labor though I was just wearing a bikini top while I was in the jacuzzi.

I took all my clothes off as soon as I got to the hospital haha. I was so hot (like warm, not sexy hahah)
