I was just reading a book that said that adults' fondest memories of childhood are often rituals that their parents established for them! It got me thinking about my favorites:

1) When my dad came home, I would run out and get his coat and hang it up for him. Then we'd all have dinner together.

2) When we went sledding after a big snow, we'd put on these big bulky snow pants and sled for hours and then come home to warm up with some warm sweet tea with milk.

3) Every now and then, we'd go to the local pizza place and sometimes I'd get a quarter to play their arcade game (Dig Dug was my jam).

What were your favorite childhood rituals?
