I'd probably get her a Camelbak water bottle, a gift card to wherever she registered, and probably a case of diapers or wipes!

I guess it depends on what they need. A recent gift included a moms on call book, a white noise machine, swaddle blankets, gripe water, gas drops, and baby Vicks!

I would probably just get a set of swaddle blankets because I thought they were useful to us.

I know those are just some things that might never be used, but sure nice to have on hand and not have to run to the store to get!

My SILs and MIL got me a gift card to a place that preps, portions and freezes homemade meals.

@matador84: Love your ideas! A good friend did something similar for me and got me a bunch of her "mom favorites" including things like Lansinoh breast pads and lanolin, a waterproof crib mattress protector and a bunch of other stuff that I wouldn't have known about as a FTM. It was so appreciated!

I just bought a gift for a friend. I am throwing the shower by myself so I didn't spend as much on her gift. I just got her the activity mat she registered for. I almost got her a Ktan but she didn't register for it. Given how much I talk about how much I love it, I guess she wants something else if she didn't register for it.

I got my friend some sleep-sack nightgowns, the boon grass drying rack, and a bottle brush. It was a little boring and I wanted to buy her All The Things.
My SIL is having a baby with her partner & I made them a customizable baby book because none of the ones in the store come for Mom & Mom -
Prefolds for burp cloths, coconut oil, white long sleeved onesies, California baby calming lotion, and a take out restaurant gift card
