I would've loved for it to have taken less time, or for me to have seen an RE earlier, but I am so thankful to finally be pregnant.

I maybe wouldn't have used any artificial lubrication earlier and wouldn't have listened to some of posters on WB at the time. I felt misinformed and made to stress when I shouldn't have. Once I visited my OB and followed her instructions, I got pregnant a week later. It might have been that she calmed me down a lot too.

We were lucky and had a pretty short and uneventful TTC journey (19 weeks pregnant now) but I wish I could have been a little more relaxed about it. It's just not my nature, I want to feel I'm doing every single thing I can to give us the best odds. I hope with the next one I can relax a little more.

It took us 13 cycles and a miscarriage to get E. I only wish that I had known that we'd get there eventually and that it'd be better than we ever could have believed. I stressed out about it a lot.

@meganmp: Your comment about getting mad when Lily on HIMYM got pregnant made me laugh. I just saw that episode yesterday and it made me cry. I just had my third IUI this morning and I'm doing my best to stay in a good, positive place. But it is SO hard. I, too, get angry and bitter when I find out that another person is pregnant...except for when it's someone that has been going through infertility. I usually see that as a sign of hope.

I wish I could change how closed off I've become from my friends. I don't know how to be social, and normal in social settings when these medicated cycles feel so all-consuming. I find myself just trying to survive and protect myself since I'm in such a fragile, emotional state at various times during the month. It really sucks.

@sweetooth: Glad I could bring some laughter to your day! I know exactly how rough it is, if that helps at all. I cried at that HIMYM too, and then thought how ridiculous I was being- it was a TV character, for crying out loud! DH made me feel better- he told me that it was not ridiculous, it made sense- on the show, they were worried about no luck after TTC for three friggin' months. I knew people in real life like that, and they had gotten pregnant soon after, without all of the medical intervention I had to have. He told me that it is not silly jealously (which is what I felt like it was), it's mourning the loss of something you were cheated out of. Anyway, good vibes to you on this IUI!

I wish it wouldn't take as long, that the doctors had definite answers and that I was more positive about it.

Honestly, absolutely nothing. Because everything that happened resulted in our amazing daughter. I would have years of heartache to have her in our lives.

@MerryC: Hey, I got pregnant with our twins two months after our third anniversary too! Weird:)

Still on my journey...but I wish I had stopped being so scared and listened to my gut when I knew I should switch REs. I wish I hadn't listened when the urologist and clinic who were both working for the same managed health care company told me IVF was the only solution for me. I wish I'd listened when everyone in my area told me to try the other doctor who'd do more testing and wouldn't bombard me with medication.

I would have actually planned it?

We were much younger than we would have liked, my FIL had just died, we were about to make an international move... It was horrendously bad timing and it took me a long time to accept it.

I wish I'd realized how different my body would feel off bcp. I'm glad I went off when I did, I just wish I had known how unpredictable my body would be!

I wish it had happened sooner. I would have been so happy to have gotten preggo with the first 3-6 months.

@PurpleUnicorn: I feel you there - we didn't really journey either. But I feel like we're so lucky to be where we are.

I will always be grateful that it worked out as perfectly as it did. We wanted to get married, wait a month and get pregnant so we could have a Christmas baby. Crazy that it actually worked out that way.

I would have started earlier. Having trouble TTC for the past 2 years has really made me bitter and annoyed at people who got pregnant so easy. (I'm sorry) I was such a happy and positive person before TTC. I've noticed that infertilty has changed me.

I know my marriage is stronger and finances is better but the changes IF did to me is not worth it. The wait is agonizing, the unsucessful and cancelled IUIs is just heart breaking.

I had a plan for everything. How soon after I got married we would start TTC. We had a few TTC breaks because I wanted to be financiall and relationship stable. I had a timeline when we would have our second or third. How my career would change around family.
But here I am struggling to have my first child. All the other details don't really matter. I'm at a point where I am trying to change my life so that something clicks and God (or whover makes these choices) allows me to get pregnant.

The horrible sense of failure ad uselessness I felt before we even started trying. I knew I wasn't ovulating for over a year before we TTC and spent the time having acupuncture etc to try and sort myself out. I felt like I was broken, and there was no point to me at all. I wish I'd have cut myself some slack.
