And they came back with a style you hated? This just happened to one of my friends. She cried 
I'm not sure I would care that much. Hair grows back and I would just tell DH he lost all privileges that have to do with her hair.

This just happened to me, although the hair cut turned out better than I thought it would. I wanted to talk J to a kid's hair cut place, and hubs wanted to do it himself. I had to go out of town for work and the first night when I called home, he showed me the very short cut on our video chat. It didn't represent accurately in pictures or video chat, but when I got home it was not as bad as I imagined.
I would let hubs cut his hair again. -
Ha! My MIL always liked to tell the story about how my FIL took DH for his first haircut without her. She refused to cut his hair so FIL just took him. She didn't speak to him for a week.

@MUI831: My DH would love to get LO's haircut because her bangs are too long.... but I won't let him yet. First it was because I just didn't feel ready to lose her first baby hair, but now I have this crazy idea to take her to Disney to do it so I'm just waiting for a good time to go. He knows better then to go without me though.... I've literally cried while just talking about getting her hair cut!

This happened once when G went to visit his bio-dad... G has always had long hair & his dad BUZZED it, almost shaved... The weekend before school pictures! I was horrified & it's one if the few times I called & yelled at his dad! Short hair does NOT suite G at all & to make it worse his dad did it himself so it wasn't done properly & G ended up with all kinds of cow licks as its grown back! I still have trouble trying to find someone that can cut it!
Thankfully DH knows & agrees G's hair looks better long & he's done a great job of making sure it's done right... They go get their hair done together for some guy time!

I wouldn't mind. Although, I cut both DH and DS's hair...I figure why pay for someone to mess up their hair when I can do it for free at home? lol

I would probably cry like a baby... I absolutely love my lo's hair! Thankfully dh knows how strongly I feel about her hair and he would never do that to me... at least that is my hope.

FLIP.OUT! No way! I need to be there to see it happen - especially if it were her first haircut and to document it! I forgot who posted it, but since I found out Disney did the "My First Haircut" I have told DH countless times that must be where K gets her first haircut - complete with pics and hat! And I'd probably want to save a lock of it and he would never think of that. DH would never do that though.

i'd probably tell him that next time, that's not how it's getting cut but honestly I can't even see my husband taking them for a haircut....DH has no hair! so he said anything to do with hair is my call lol

I would flip out. He cut my dogs tail hair once and I almost cried about it.

@artbee: omgah! Okay - DH is going to hate HB for how expensive his baby's first haircut is going to be. He thinks Disney is overrated too (i.e. other thread). But I'm totally sold! Pixie Dust! Sheesh! What else will they think of? What do they have for first lost tooth?

I will always tell people how inexpensive the haircut there, and then DH always adds, "plus the price of admission." Lol. But I have an 8 year old niece that lives in Orlando so it makes sense for us to go to Disney with them.

I would flip. Im not cutting Cs hair until we have to. Im terrified it will grow back in super curly or stick straight. Its got adorable little curls just on the ends right now and I love them.
