This space between the mirrors in our bathroom has always bugged me but I don't know what to hang there. Any suggestions for this design-challenged mom?
(sorry for the messy counter!)

I wouldn't put anything between the mirrors. I think it would look too busy.

You could do some floating shelves with a mix of decorative and functional items - some small framed pictures, a plant/bud vase with a few flowers, some glass or metal canisters for cotton balls/qtips, candles...

Shallow cubby storage that would clear the light fixtures at least.

I would do a tall skinny plant like bamboo sitting on a small stand to give it more height

I was going to say floating shelves but someone beat me to it! Then i would buy pretty mini baskets from ikea to store small toilitries, toothpaste, etc.

I agree with possible floating shelves - or maybe a little built-in unit? If you're looking for strictly decorative, you could go with a series of framed, matching prints?

I would try to find another of the same mirror, it looks like 3 would fit.

@BeachMama: something you love love love love. Maybe a print of a saying that makes you feel good, or a painting or piece of art you looove. A nice but unassuming frame for it. That spot draws your eyes visually, so I'd just keep your eye out for something you love, because you'll see it multiple times a day.
@oliviaoblivia: that would be nice, like dried lavender.

I agree with doing one bit mirror. It would also brighten the room by reflecting more light (not saying your bathroom is dark, just that they often don't have as many windows and the bigger the mirror the better)

@marym: @mrs. pickle: I'd love one big mirror but thats a bigger, more costly project for down the line sometime

Is there a window in this bathroom? If so, a tallish plant that can deal with limited light would be nice.
Otherwise, I might do a small framed landscape or art print (not a family photo, because portraits in the bathroom seem very odd to me!).

Our bathroom looks the same and I'm debating this now! I think we are going to one big mirror- we priced them at Lowes this weekend and was under $120. It was 48" long if that helps.
I like the floating shelves, though if you are looking to strictly decorate- by the time you fill them up you may spend around $120 anyway!

@BeachMama: one of my friends has pictures of her kids as her bathroom art and I thought that idea was absolutely adorable!
