A miserable jail sentence!

If I married my first boyfriend, I would probably be divorced by now - he wasn't a winner at all. But if I married the guy I was with before hubs, I wouldn't have any children (he didn't want any) but would probably be travelling the world with a backpack.

I prefer my current life

I'd be divorced, that's for sure. My relationship prior to my husband was 7 years long and we had a lot of external issues that neither one of us would compromise on.

I think if I had married any of my exes, I'd be miserable and we'd be scraping by. They were all kinda losers in their own ways. Most of them didn't really like working and tried to be all alternative about it. "Tried" being the operative word.

@Coco Bee: that's really weird. I had a dream about my first ever boyfriend (from high school) last night, too. in my dream he came to steal my baby but...that has nothing to do with your question.

I would be in Maryland. We probably would have kids but who knows what else it would be like. I didn't keep in touch with him and last I knew, he was back to school learning computer programming.

Oh god, I don't even want to think about it. lol

1st ex: I would be pushing him the whole way to accomplish anything.
2nd ex: I would be living it up in Spain and being a Spanish Army wife (Reality show?)
3rd ex: I would still have no self confidence, hate myself, have a crappy job, no drive and probably be living with him in his moms trailer.

I am convinced everything happens for a reason

I’m only counting serious boyfriends. With my first ex we’d probably have kids but we’d really be struggling. He’s been dragging his feet getting through college for almost 10 years now and he has a dead end job. I wouldn’t be happy and I’d feel like I settled. With my second ex we’d also probably have kids and I’d also be unhappy. He was not faithful and we’d have absolutely no trust foundation. I’d also be living in North Carolina, probably on a Marine base.

I am seriously SO thankful that I met DH. None of the guys I dated before him were good news.

Haha, if I ended up with my ex, I'd be miserable. He broke up with me because I was white and his mom didn't approve (they're Indian). He's married now and still lives with his mom and she and his wife argue over who gets to make him dinner and get mad at him when he eats the other one's food. No thanks!

ex 1: Would possibly be happy, have about the same amount of $, but most likely not be married yet and definitely not have a kid (and maybe never have any).

ex 2: Would be happy, but not in love. Might be married with kids. Probably would have a lot of $. (This one is a happy story--he is now engaged and in love, and I found my "one" also! We are still friends.)

ex 3: Would be miserable and possibly abused. No kid for sure. I would also probably weight 50lbs more than I do now.

The rest I can't really imagine at all.

1: Probably broke with him in grad school. Very opposing viewpoints on pretty much every topic regarding religion, politics, household roles, etc.

2: Living with his parents. He's almost 30 and acts like a 14 year old frequently posting on facebook about dumb his parents are and how much he can't stand living with them. He'd develop some lofty goal and then come up with a reason why it's my fault he never reached that goal.

3: Well, this is awkward but I'd be married to my cousin. Found out AFTER we broke up that we're distantly (way, way distant) related as cousins or something like that. I'd be Mennonite with his Amish mom living 10 steps away since he's the oldest son. I'd have 30+ nieces and nephews, most are Amish. We'd be the ones with the car running them to Walmart and doctors appointments.

its so interesting to hear about what other ppl thing about their exes. I only dated one guy seriously before DH and this was 10 years ago. To this day, I wonder what life would have been like. We had our fair share of problems, mainly with $ and with wildly different temperaments.

I hate to say it but I'd have been unhappily married for a few years, and then divorced.

Glad I ended up with DH. whew!
