M will be 8 months old at Christmas. I'm starting to think about what we should get her, and what we should put on a list for the grandparents. She has some very generous grandparents, and my in-laws in particular like to have a list.
What would be on your wishlist for an 8 month old?

Does she have a block set yet? ones from etsy are great but we have father goose blocks and love them!
Bath toys, puzzles, and books have been huge hits with J that have stood the test of time thus far!

@Mrs. Pen: We pretty much have NOTHING in terms of toys for an older baby! All we have right now are stroller toys.

I would ask for some sort of walker or push toy. My LO is 8 months and she loves to push her walker around.

Yes I really like the Uncle Goose wooden blocks set, also the B. Wooden activity cube, and a knit doll or rag doll

Things for summer: wagon, playhouse, swingset. Our grandparents are more intersted in bigger things than a bunch of smaller things so this is what is on our list for her birthday/Christmas.

I started an amazon list already! We are asking for a Haba doll, the Melissa and Doug alligator push toy, a bath toy set, wooden block set, and a baby sled.
I might add in some musical instruments, and get rid of the push toy...
Also, books,and Hanna Anderson pjs (cute enough to hopefully satisfy the aunties desires to buy clothes)

The Zany Zoo activity cube or the B. Parum Pum Drum! C LOVES her drum. Wooden blocks, an activity table, wooden puzzles, and books are always good too.

Haba walker wagon. It is pricey, but super nice and sturdy. We got it at nine months and it is still in daily use at 20 months. He loves it! I think it is one of our best purchases, based on how much use it still gets. I also think a nice set of wood blocks would be good starting around that age. Musical instruments are also good. We have a remo gathering drum that gets daily use and has since we got it at a year. Hohner makes a good xylophone. We also get a lot of use out of our pottery barn chair (our LO loves to sit on things though. You may consider a little table and chairs set. 8 months is a little early, but it is a pricier item that would be nice to receive as a gift.

Such a great list! I was thinking of doing the Radio Flyer push wagon & maybe a PBK Anywhere Chair. We have some of the Uncle Goose blocks and they're awesome.
