There's not as many as I thought that are appropriate for young kids. Basically it is Polar Express, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Charlie Brown Christmas. Maybe in a few years we can break out Elf and Home Alone.
What's a good Christmas movie to watch with the kids every year?

I've always loved Mickey's Christmas Carol. And Rudolph and Frosty. Polar Express makes me bawl every time, and D is super-into it right now ("Choo-choo movie? Peese?").

We watched Annie in the theaters. It's more winterish than Christmas-ee.
eta: Just remembered, we watched the Nativity Story this year. LO picked it but I think it's for a little older kids.

Our kids are totally transfixed by Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. We have some sort of combo DVD that has 4 claymation movies and it captures their attention more than any other TV show or movie we've tried. Sometimes old school really is the best!!

@littlebug: Mickey's Christmas Carol is one of my favs! I watched it with M a few days ago and it mainly held her interest 
I also want to watch Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas with her.

Elf and Home Alone were going to be my suggestions 
I hate "A Christmas Carol" so not a fan of any of those options.
Prancer is good although perhaps not really entertaining to the very little ones.

The Snowman! More of an English Classic, not widely known in the States I don't think, but it's beautiful! We just watched it tonight actually.

My son sat and watched Pee Wee's Christmas special which is now streaming on Netflix from beginning to end! He never finishes movies but he loved this and it's so charming and fun I think we will add it to our traditions. Home alone is also a good one. A Christmas Story. We watch Christmas Vacation every year.
