My friend just had a baby but I don't want to get her a "baby" gift, but something just for herself. I tried to get a gift certificate for a massage or pedicure, but all the local places near here on YELP kinda scared me as they were all over there place. Anyone have any other good suggestions?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that she's on the West Coast while I'm on the East Coast!

All great suggestions but unfortunately, we live on opposite coasts 
so none of the baby sitting or food drop offs will really work.

@Clementine: I'd go with gift cards to local take-out or delivery restaurants.
Or personally, Target gift cards ALWAYS make me happy.

@Arden: target gift cards are a great idea! I remember needing some personal items and things to help make me comfy after birth and a GC would have been so helpful!

My sister in law bought me a pair of lounge pants and a comfy sweater that tied at the waist. The pants were a size too big, which I loved! I lived in that outfit with nursing tank for a long time.

I like the idea of something to pamper her- like cozy lounge pants and a sweater that opens in the front if she is breastfeeding. And some nice lotions- someone brought me some foot and leg cream- putting it on for two minutes was my treat to myself.
But food gc are good too!

Target giftcards. I made a package for a friend who had a baby that consisted of oatmeal, granola bars, and Milano cookies for nursing. It was well received.
