i HATE the ball popper. kids love it, and the concept is cool, but that song is MADDENING. and the balls always get lost. i hid ours in the closet and am contemplating selling it.

Hungry hungry hippos. It is SO loud and kids always end up yelling too, which makes it worse.
I can't really judge officially but I hate all those baby toy monstrosities that you see on tv. Oh, and toys that only do on thing and you can't be creative with (like that new LOL Elmo. what the heck is the point of him?)

I hate anything motion activated with lights and sounds. My mom bought her this flashing light up singing ball, every time the dogs walk by it, you move the wrong way or even sneeze in it's presence it start flashing and singing

@Mrs. Pen: I'm so over Elmo too... I was looking on youtube for some Sesame Street songs to sing with LO, and they almost ALL have Elmo as the lead character

@prettylizy: maybe it's just me but I feel like shows that have characters that talk in baby voices hinder their young viewers verbal skills. One boy I nannied was 4 and he loved Max and Ruby. Max talked in one word sentences and was very childish so this 4 year old reverted to not speaking in full sentences and it was sooo annoying. I read a blog post about another mom who banned Caillou because of his baby voice

@prettylizy: just because babies are watching it doesn't mean a show should be "dumbed down". I let Cobi watch signing time and they use normal words and voices and he likes that show more than "baby shows". It's so much more educational too.
