When we first started renting this apartment, I laughed when I saw the Jacuzzi-style bubble thingies in the bath tub. It just seemed so unnecessarily luxurious.
But now I use them all the time... and when we move, I will miss it. I'm getting soft!

I can't think of anything that's not food or drink related. Does Starbucks count as an indulgence? Because it doesn't really fit in our budget but we seem to end up there all the time...

Massages. I say it's for health reasons, and really it is. It really does help my migraines. But I also do love love love them.

Hair appointmens. I love getting my hair cut and coloured, I go every 6-8 weeks and I don't feel even a little tiny bit bad about spending the money on it.

@BabyBear: Yes it does! I used to think I was using it as an excuse, but then I stopped going for awhile to save some money and really noticed a difference. Now I try to keep going as much as I can, it's worth the money!

Manicure and pedicures. I used to just get pedicures every two-three weeks, depending on the season, but lately I have been adding the manicure. Luckily DH doesn't say anything

Shellac manis every 2 weeks and a pedicure every 3 weeks. I'm worth it!
I haven't done my own nails in years and I told DH a long time ago that he can count on this being a "bill" we have every month, just like water/cable/etc.

Does Shellac not damage your nails? I got it for a while and my nails got sooooo brittle. It took me almost a full year to get my normal nail strength back. So sad, I loved having no chips.

@Andrea: It depends who you go to if they'll damage your nails or not. If they file your nails too far down and are too aggressive with taking the polish off, then yes it can definitely damage your nails. But, they shouldn't do that, so it technically shouldn't damage your nails!
I tried out a new place last week (because it was cheaper. Red flag #1), and the girl was just stabbing away at my nails peeling the polish off because she didn't want to wait until the acetone did its job. I wanted to cry. haha!

@Mrs. Lovejoy: They seemed good and not to aggressive? They even admitted to me that Shellac was bad for your nails so I just stopped.

I have really only gotten into Shellac since being preg (did solar nails before) and my nails are of such superwoman strength now on their own that the shellac hasn't affected them- just stays on 2 weeks. I hope things don't change too much when not preg anymore! I'll miss these "good nails!"
@anonysquire: I think I would get frustrated to work on them myself bc they would take a bunch of time (I'm lazy) and look like a 5 yr old did them! But it's a good suggestion for non-lazy people!!!

@Mrs. Lovejoy: my husband got it for me from Sally's beauty supply I think. Maybe just check your local beauty supply store. It's sooooooo easy and I love it. I love doing it on my toes cause it lasts forever!

@Mrs. Lovejoy: maybe it's all that extra filing and then they soak your nails in acetone to remove the gel? But if your nails are still strong then I would just keep getting them!

I love my massages... Got them pretty regularly when I was pregnant and it helped my sore, achy back so much! I miss those!

Definitely pedicures!!! I have cut down to about every six to eight weeks, and in between I'll do a pedicure on myself. But I have to go and have a good one every now and then. Although I haven't had time to since LMW was born
