When I was younger, I think we usually started around 6PM.

oh one note -- i took some really cute pics of charlie last year in his elmo costume because we started early and still had natural light. once the sun set, my pics weren't cute!

We do trick or treating in the day light on main street downtown, it starts at 4:30 and goes to 6:30, then you go home and do it in your neighborhood.

We're not actually going to be trick or treating all that time, we'll go downtown and eat dinner, walk around, and come back home and some of us will hand out candy while others will walk around the neighborhood and probably not trick or treat, just look at decorations. LO is too young for candy anyway.
