Does anyone hand out anything other than candy? I saw some really cute pencils at Target and thought those could be fun options in addition to candy, but DH thinks we'll be the lame house if I do that!

We got sheets of candy corn stickers from Oriental Trading. Temporary tattoos are pretty popular. I figure kids get enough candy anyway.

Some people gave out puzzles (prolly dollar store?).

We've done pencils, stickers, bubbles, tiny rubber ducks, and glow sticks. All of them have been big hits. If you are going to hand out non-candy treats anyway, you should print out a teal pumpkin flyer (or paint a pumpkin) and join the Teal Pumpkin Project at foodallergies.org.

We do both to give a allergy free option. We will have pencils, stickers and glow bracelets along with candy.

We get so few trick-or-treaters here, but since I'm probably the only American in my town, I feel the need to be festive. This year, I'm including a glow-stick (bracelet), spider rings, along with the typical candy mix. I've started packing individual bags for each kid, and plan on continuing the tradition this year. I'm hoping to get a record-breaking amount of trick-or-treaters! People normally hand out a single piece candy

I got a set from Target last year that I'll be handing out. It has stuff like plastic vampire fangs, temporary tattoos, spider rings, etc.

Costco has 50 packs of playdoh that would be great.
