Well, one of my neighbors sells cupcakes as a side job and she was giving the adults cupcakes. I totally scarfed that up. A treat from someone I don't know? No.

Not if it was someone we didn't know.

No...& I'd have to know them VERY well for me to eat it from someone I knew too. I think it's very bizarre when people hand out homemade things because the majority of people won't eat it and although the giver most likely has good intentions, it doesn't sit well with people.

HAHA I'm the one vote yes, BUT only because we trick or treat in a town of 300 people, even if we don't know them personally someone does that we know or were with and can vouche for them. If I were to do it in the city we live in, heck no!

We don't eat (or let our kids eat) anything that's not wrapped unless it's someone we know. I'd rather not take the chance!

One of our neighbors delivered candy apples to each house, but we know her well, so it was fine. Strangers? No.

I would eat an unpeeled piece of fruit (if it looked good) but not a baked good.

If someone had a way to make undetectably poisoned apples and wanted to poison strangers why wouldn't they take them to the grocery store and put them in the produce display? You actually see stuff like that on the news from time to time. Like the lady that put rubbing alcohol in Starbucks OJ - crazy doesn't wait for Halloween.

I wouldn't eat a baked good because I'm skeeved out by strangers homemade goodies. A dozen of my family members just got food poisoning from brownies. Maybe I should avoid baked goods from people I know!

If it was someone we knew, sure! When I was growing up, a really well-liked, older couple in our neighborhood used to make caramel apples and homemade kettle corn. It was awesome!

An apple might be ok but not a homemade treat due to nut allergy.

Yes! I totally would... from what I've read, there has been NO examples of any kids/people/animals/anything being poisoned, harmed, or killed by Halloween treats.

Just for clarification, I wouldn't eat it because I am a germo-phobe and why on earth would I eat something from someone I don't know? I mean, God only knows if they washed their hands or whatever. I just wouldn't.
