What's annoying you today?

What's annoying you today?

I've got a list. DH has been working all weekend- from his desk in the corner of our living room. Somehow he squeezed in time to play a video game here and there between calls but is always on a call when I need to feed one of them or put someone down for a nap. His office is closed today but he's been working all day. We have a one month old and I need help.

The toddler isn't napping. She's been in her crib for an hour already and is singing and playing with her stuffed animals.

DH still hasn't gotten a flu shot. Again- we have a one month old. I have been asking him to do it since September. Trying not to nag but now I'm just asking him every day.

Also obviously I'm hardly sleeping so everything annoys me more.

I got the cold T had. She's better with tons of energy, while I still feel icky, boo.

@youboots: my toddler just started back up coughing and having a runny nose again. I know i will get it soon- at least then I'll have the immunities to give to the baby I guess. So over cold and flu season- and there's a lot of it left here!

The fact that I'm at work. And, not being able to breath through my nose. Its not even really stuffed up but apparently my sinuses are swollen or whatever so I feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen that way! And I don't know if the culprit is allergies or pregnancy. Or both. Waa . lol

Stupid snow and stupid 18°F weather and the fact that school starts again tomorrow and I'm back to teaching at one school and taking courses at another school and grrrr.

I start a new semester tomorrow and I don't have the syllabus ready yet for one of the classes. LO is napping, but I'm dealing with computer issues and can't get any work done. And I can't work when he's awake. Grr

I made a doctor's appointment for my 2y9m old DS today and they only suggested midday appointments and told me that for the rest of the day of the appointment I'd have a cranky kid that cannot go back to daycare. I then told her that I work and whether an afternoon appointment was possible she then was no and went on to tell me that well this is why you have a kid! I was flabbergasted and all I could say was well somebody has to pay the bills...
I was furious when I told DH he asked me why I hadn't just hung up the phone. Love that man

I have been working since January 4th straight...I knew it was going to be a rough first few weeks to the year but this is not fun...Sat/Sun/Mon on a holiday weekend makes for a bitter pregnant lady...

Add to it the reduced bonuses we found out about and I am a real pleasant person right now...

That my son got another virus from daycare and it's from the kid who's been sick since December and the parent didn't take their kid into the doctor for at least 10 days even though the kid was oozing out of every orifice for weeks (eyes, nose, mouth, everything). He's gotten every kid sick and the parents won't pull him because he "technically doesn't have a fever."

My sitter cancelled on me at 730am on Saturday when I was sick (from DS' daycare virus) and I had desperately been looking forward to sleeping in while she watched DS.

DH and I are both sick from DS but he was up all night melodramatically hacking for hours waking me up several times until I asked him if he'd taken any drugs. "Good idea" he says.

Meanwhile I'm 22 weeks pregnant and can't take anything. And DH scheduled a doctor's appointment for 845am this morning at a med center 30 minutes away because he thinks he has a hernia and because he's sick. So I had the toddler again.

My coughing is triggering my gag reflex (hello return of morning sickness) which is in turn causing me to pee myself every time I gag. So I'm sitting in the toilet coughing and gagging.

@gingerbebe: being sick when you are pregnant sucks big time. I would get irrationally ragey when other people didn't take all the drugs to get better! (Meanwhile DH got a cold the first week our baby was home from the hospital and wanted to take NyQuil and I nearly killed him. She was up screaming for hours at night at the time- no NyQuil for anyone!!)

@Pumuckl: this is why you had a kid? What does that even mean? That's super annoying.

@Mrs D: yeah that's pretty much DH working every day. He keeps hoping it will be reflected in his bonus but every year they disappoint. I really want him to find a new job. Hope you get a break soon.

@Foodnerd81: yup, kind of like well if you don't have time to take care of him then why did you even bother with having a kid! I was fuming all I was saying that an afternoon appointment would be nice.

I'm at the airport waiting in a taxi line that feels miiiillllles long. I've been out of the country for a week and this was the first time I was away from lo, I just want to be with her now already!!!!!

@Pumuckl: well then isn't the solution to not bring him to the doctor at all and let him get everyone else sick?

@Foodnerd81: DH got home after 2.5 hours, went straight into his study to make 90 minutes of calls and came out at lunchtime. I told him to change DS' poop diaper and put him down for a nap while I fixed us lunches. He didn't say a word about his appointment so I finally asked and he said "Well the doctor said neither of my complaints were things I needed to be seen in office for. He did agree to give me antibiotics for a possible sinus infection." He was like are you mad because you would have preferred I stayed home and helped you with DS? I was like yes but I have accepted that you are a borderline hypochondriac and need to go to the doctor for everything even though the baby and I have had had the same illnesses as you and we have yet to go see a doctor in office (I did talk to our ped over the phone to make sure we were tending to DS' symptoms right).

That I have my third cold in a month, the second one in which I've lost my voice. And I have to talk a lot for my job! I didn't take sick time because I just have PTO and need to save it for LO's sick days or if we hope to have a vacation. Also it would have really inconvenienced some patients if I wasn't here. And then DH was sick last week and took 2 sick days, including one where he no longer was sick but "just to finish feeling better" and LO was at daycare all day so he had a day to himself to lounge. I have never had a sick or healthy day to myself like that! And then he gets MLK day off today and LO still went to daycare because DH said he would "get stuff done." And yet I'm guessing the house will be just as messy and he will have done a little yard work and played a lot of video games. While I am working, sick, and doing daycare pick up and drop off while LO has a parent home and free!! Argh. Okay I guess I needed that
