My friend tonight said her best year was when she was 25 years old! My best year was probably 29, when I got married.

This year!! The year we got married and went in a honeymoon was awesome, of course (29 years old) but this year, having our baby and watching her grow, blows every other year out of the water. And yet it's one of the hardest years too. I'm 33 but had C when I was 32, so I guess I'd say 32 was the best.

The year I had my son (I graduated, got accepted into graduate school, had a great pregnancy and then baby to end the year!)
The worst was probably when I was 11. And again at 19.

The year I was born. Life has gotten gradually more difficult after that!

2010. My husband and I became serious, we traveled a lot, got married and had our first baby all within one year.

2010. I got engaged, married and ran my first marathon before my 30th birthday! I look back on that year very fondly.

So hard to say! There has been good in every year. 19 was awesome, first year of university....22 was awesome, living with my best friend and being carefree non-students for the first time (&making money!!), 25 was life changing as I moved to Australia, which ended up being permanent, 30 I got married, 32 I got pregnant and had my son! I don't think I can choose

19 was an awesome year, but I got into a lot of trouble I think 26 was probably the best, I got married, bought a house and got a job I love.

For me, I've never really had a "best" year, at least not yet (I'm almost 23), because I think each year gets better than the next because I learn new things and apply those to the next year. Without the growth in the previous year, I wouldn't have as great of a year in the current year! So every new year's eve and birthday so far, I've always thought the year that was ending was the best, but I figure the year ahead will be even better, despite its challenges

24 was insane & probably had some of my least healthy moments, but it was a year of empowerment for me & a whirlwind with mr. Bird that was quite enjoyable

Skipping my marriage and baby years because those are obvious answers I'm gonna say 18.
I did a lot of partying and basically just had nothing but fun. I was also really happy with my body then!

This year!
Runner up would be age 19 or 20. I was wild and lived all over and hitchhiked and partied and camped..

19- I moved out to New York for a nannying job and lived there for a year. It was amazing and I wish I had stayed longer.

huh. I don't know. Not my marriage year or LO's birth year because those were both big changes and had accompanying stress. Maybe somewhere 25ish-27ish. We were DINKs and relatively stress free and just living life. It was nice. Then 2008 hit and job loss ensued.
I am really excited about this year, though! I think it may be my new best year1

25. Engaged to my DH, planning a wedding, living in the beautiful Bay Area in a fab apartment in an awesome city, well paying job, lots of free time...
The dh and I both look book back and wish we were still there sometimes. Having a baby, who we both adore, has just been a lot harder than we imagined... Living in a nice home in the burbs, but has a mortgage, lower paying jobs, no free time:(
In retrospect... We should have stayed in the big city than move to the burbs. I think we would have been a lot happier.

So far it's this year. I'm just so happy with the season of life that we're in. I feel so fulfilled with my sweet husband and totally content right now with my 2 little ones. Before there was always something.. Like, I just want to get engaged, pregnant, pregnant with a sticky baby, a house, etc etc etc. I think this is the first year that I've actually felt content and at peace with my life and exactly where I'm at right now.

As much as I have enjoyed every moment (ok most moments) of my daughter's life, if I wanted to pick a calendar year it would be 2012. We got married, got pregnant, and we didn't know my dad was sick. It was just a happy year full of anticipation of the good things to come.

The year I turned 30. Bought a house, went on a month long trip of a lifetime to Australia and New Zealand, finished grad school and got married!

@bluestriped bee: I love your answer!
For me, it was the year I was 23. I moved out of the house I shared with my BFF (she was settling down) and moved in with a different friend, who was quite a bit wilder than BFF. We just had so much fun, every single day. I ditched my boyfriend of four years and enjoyed my freedom, partied probably too much, drank waaay too much and loved every minute. It was also the year I got my first car.

2013 for sure when I was able to hold my baby in my arms and became a mommy. Another good year was a couple of years ago when I was successful at losing almost 30 pounds.

I think 27. I got married, felt great and healthy, oth me and DH were making good progress at work, we traveled a lot, and we had just started trying to get pregnant, but hadn't found out about our infertility yet, so ignorance was bliss.
30's a contender, since LO was born, and I landed my dream job which they're holding for me for when I return from maternity leave in August, but it's not over yet, so I'm not ready to commit.

27. I moved overseas to start grad school, loved my program, met lifelong friends, traveled to Turkey on a school program and had my now-husband move to join me in the US after six months apart.
It was an incredibly challenging year for me - long distance relationship, tough PhD program - but also incredibly fulfilling and I felt like I achieved a lot of my life dreams that year.
