We had a great honeymoon in Barcelona and that's definitely a highlight for me! I also had a great time visiting Japan as a kid and also, in college on a foreign exchange program.
What's been your favorite travel trip ever?

Greece, hands down. Specifically, Santorini and Naxos. We travel a lot, but Greece has been the ultimate trip. So much so that we are going back again in July.

A toss up between Fiji and Belize. Hope to return to both at some point!

London + Paris overall. Dominican Republic was my favorite beach vacation.

I don't know that I can choose between Guyana (family trip), Cuba, or Costa Rica (honeymoon). I went with different people and they were all super amazing experiences that I will never forget.
The thing I love about those trips is that I faced so many fears and had great adventures with people I love.

DH & I have done some great trips together. I think my fave was our honeymoon in Paris, but it's hard to pick just one!!

The Bahamas & the French Alps. Obviously for very different reasons

I can't pick just one - New Zealand, China, Russia, and Kenya are all favourites, amongst many others!

We have had so many amazing trips. I think Italy was probably my favorite. We had so much great food and there were so many interesting things to see.

Definitely our honeymoon! 21 days, 7 countries, 15 cities. It was a trip of a lifetime.

The month I spent in New Zealand - hands down! In close second was my destination wedding/honeymoon in Jamaica.

Vietnam. I didn't think too much about it before I went but I fell in love with the country.

@LAZB: um yes. Santorini and Naxos are my two favourite places in the world. I've been to Greece 4 times and I'd go 100 more times if I could.
@Ree723: wow! You've been to some amazing places!
I can't decide which is my favourite trip. Maybe Egypt, it was pretty unreal to experience that history. Greece is my favorite place, but Egypt was a pretty amazing trip as well.

Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is probably one of the most amazing experiences we've had. Iceland's scenery was just breathtaking. Scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. Glacier hiking in New Zealand. Seeing the temples of Angkor Wat. Every experience is so amazing and different it's hard to have just one favorite!

Favorite with friends: Thailand

@MrsB2012: It's good to see someone else that has been to Naxos! We loved Santorini for the usual reasons, but were so happy to find the hidden gem of Naxos. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Thailand and Cambodia on our honeymoon! I would go back in a heartbeat!

We traveled with 5 of our close friends to the Czech Republic then Austria for a friend's wedding. It was so fun to experience a Czech wedding and travel with a big group of people. We somehow all got along the whole time!

While our honeymoon to Fiji was incredible, my favorite trip was probably to the San Juan islands off Washington state. A great mix of mountains and ocean. We saw tons of whales and bald eagles, great hiking and food.

I loved Mexico the most. The 11 hour flight was pretty awful but so worth it!

I think it was our trip all across the US with our 5/6month old in tow. We got to see so many cool things (we got to see 20NP alone) and it was great spending the time together as a family far away from the daily grind.

The year after I graduated I spent 4 months in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore & Malaysia. I was young and free and had a great time! So, probably that

Really can't decide...there have been too many good ones and they've all been really varied.
If I had to choose, probably the five months I spent backpacking in SE Asia and India. My trip sounds pretty similar to yours, @illumina:!
Our honeymoon in Portugal and France was amazing though too. And so was my trip to Central Europe two years ago with my mum, mostly for sentimental reasons.

Our honeymoon in Florence, Cinque Terre and Paris. So, so, so wonderful!

Without a question the most amazing trip I've taken was to Uganda & Rwanda- I love both countries, and we took the time to go see the mountain gorillas. Spending an hour sitting within such a short distance of such incredible creatures was unforgettable.
But independent travel in those countries is so stressful (I spent 8 hours in the back of a pickup truck in order to get to the National Park), it wasn't relaxing at all! DH and I took a trip to Vermont last year that ranks among my most treasured memories. Not really exotic or foreign, but we spent a week kayaking, visiting craft breweries and walking along beautiful small towns... I can't remember coming back from a vacation feeling more energized!

@Pumuckl: wow! I'm so impressed with your ability to road trip with a LO. Our favorite trips are on the road visiting national parks but now we have a 7 month old and it seems impossible to start traveling again!
Now long did you go for? Was is difficult?

Tie between honeymoon in Jamaica and the vacation in Paris that we just returned from!
Jamaica because it was romantic and so relaxing after the craziness of wedding planning.
Paris because it was the best family vacation ever! I always dreamed of going back but didn't know we would have the opportunity so soon!
DD was an angel and we had a wonderful time eating and seeing our favorite sites.
