My husband's a big dude. The only carrier that fit him was the Ergo Sport (longer straps).

My husband has worn the Beco and found it to be very comfortable. Our ergo had a petunia pickle bottom pattern so he refused to wear it and never tried it on.

DH is a bigger guy and he has no problem using my Beco. They have some really guy friendly patterns too, ours is Robots.

My DH is probably similar build to yours and we bought him a Beco Gemini. Actually, we bought one for both of us so we wouldn't have to constantly change the strap settings. We don't have a LO yet (still pregnant) but when DH tried it on he loved the fit. He also had fun trying it out with my parents' puppy in it (around 15 pounds) and had no problems.

Personally I didn't want the Ergo because I didn't want to have to deal with the infant insert and I want to be able to use the carrier from the beginning.

I tried on a few others in the store, I think the Boba was one of them, and the Beco was the easiest to put on and felt the most comfortable and secure to me. Is there anywhere you guys could try them on? We went to a cloth diaper store that had them.

I bought DH the Ergo and he did not like it. He likes the Stokke mycarrier.

My DH has no issues with our Beco. He's 5'9" and about 170 lbs so similar to your DH. I purposely picked the robot pattern since it was more boy like so he wouldn't feel girly using it. He probably would not have cared what the pattern was tho.

We have a beco and dh likes wearing it-- he is about 6'1 and 175lbs. We have lots of friends with the ergo and their dh's wear them all the time, too.

Our beco is purple with flowers but dh doesn't mind lol!!
