I put the baby down about 20 minutes ago though and DH is traveling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Filet mignon! I scored a nice fat piece at the grocer yesterday ($4.88/lb!) so I'm going to make some steaks and probably baked potatoes and asparagus for dinner. Gotta pick up the sides after my OB's appt tonight

Actually, I always get sweet potato fries when I have that option. We're having shrimp scampi tonight.

I have no idea... we already fed RJ and will eat after he goes to bed, but I don't feel like cooking and I'm exhausted after a horrible day at work. All the french fry talk is definitely putting me in the mood for fries, but I really don't want them to be soggy from the trip home since we'd have to get takeout. It's times like these I really wish we had an on-call babysitter so we can go to Five Guys or something.

@HabesBabe: @BoogieBea: YUM!!! @tina: I always eat the fries in the car. OMG five guys sounds so good.
I'm making sweet potato fries right now!

@chopsuey119: ooh, the place that does the curly sour cream and chive fries serves their sweet potato fries with raspberry vinegarette for dipping. SO YUMMY.

@tina: Arbys. They used to have jalapeƱo poppers, too but they stopped selling them. Sad.
I have no idea. Breakfast for dinner? I'm waiting for dh to get home and then we'll decide. Blah. I just want to stay curled up on the couch!

We have some leftover pasta I made from a Pinterest recipe yesterday and a salad. The pasta is really good, too, so I'm excited for leftovers!

@tina: Is Five Guys that good? I've never been and would check them out if it's worth the price.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@Boogs: I don't think Five Guys is THAT good. They make a good burger though!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@mrbee: Now I want a tuna sandwich! Uncontrollable hunger! Must eat chia seeds.

Five Guys is worth checking out. They don't really cost much mire than fast food and are so much tastier! Don't bothering an order of fries each though - they give you so so so many fries, plenty to share!
Were having this spicy Italian spaghetti dish - it's just olive oil, hot red pepper flakes and tons of garlic (no red sauce). With Maine shrimp on top and salad on the side: mixed greens and arugula, tomatoes, goat cheese and olive oil/balsamic. So good and super quick and easy. It's one of our weekday staple dishes.

@yoursilverlining: I always add red pepper flakes to my pasta! I love spicy food.

@chopsuey119 & @yoursilverlining: Okay, I may have to talk DH into checking it out one of these days.

@Boogs: I love Five Guys... their burgers remind me of a burger you'd eat at a cookout. Plus you can order whatever toppings you want and it's all included. I love that ALL they make are burgers, fries, hot dogs, and grilled cheese.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@tina: I've never tried their hotdogs! So we're definitely going to Five Guys on Thursday. Gonna see if I can pull off eating a burger and a hotdog.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@chopsuey119: Omg I love their hot dogs. They split them down the middle, grill them so they are crispy on the outsides, and you gotta get one with cheese and bacon. YUM.
The last time we got Five Guys, I ordered a little cheeseburger (which is one patty instead of two) and a hot dog. And of course fries. At the end of the meal I found myself saying "Why did I eat a burger AND a hot dog?" and Rob Sr. burst out laughing at me. The sad part is that I didn't really find it that weird to order both...

I made buffalo chicken in the slow cooker yesterday so we're having it with rice tonight!

@tina: HAHA okay! Definitely going to try a hotdog! Sounds so good!!

@tina: You're making me so hungry! And hot dogs, too?! Extra yum!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Boogs: yup!!
I just sent Rob Sr. out for McDonald's. I don't even feel guilty... it's been THAT kind of day and all this burger/fries/fast food messageboarding has just made it inevitable.

@mrbee: my husband had a tuna sandwich too.
We went out and chose that out of everything on the menu. Gross, I hate tuna. I especially hate when he mixes it with mac and cheese, way to ruin mac and cheese!
I just had a cup of soup, wasn't hungry.

@Boogs: all this posting about food already has!!! Nothing makes me happier than thinking about food! Especially my beloved cheeseburgers.

We have to run errands tonight after DH gets home @ 7:30, so no time to make a proper dinner. We'll just stop at Chipotle and grab a burrito bowl.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I had Bertucci's margarita pizza.....but don't be jealous, I'm at work still (8:30) and ordered it to the office! One perk is if I work past 8, work pays for my transportation and dinner. The least they could do!

leftover salmon. hubby's going to be late and told me to eat dinner first. hm. i hope that means he's going to pick something up and i don't have to make something for him.

Steak (my recipe for marinade) with roasted garlic potatoes (a Rachael Ray recipe) and Brussels sprouts... That dinner was hubby's request! It was so good!

@chopsuey119 - It is from scratch, made in mass quantity and frozen.

@chopsuey119: @mrswoohoo: I made that for dinner in the slow cooker! Check out the slow cooker thread for the recipe. It turned out really good! Made some mashed potatoes to go along with it.

Roast pork. Will probably just do roast veg with it as well as it's easier.
